So, according to my own judgement, and 1 guy commenting on my voice... I think my voice is sounding nasal...

Here's the two covers:

First one is a folk song, Keep the Home Fires Burning and the 2nd one is Be There

The above link is an old live recorded performance.

I'd like to ask, but does it sound nasal?

Thank you!

After listening to Be there, I didn't find your voice to have a nasal quality. I felt as though it was being sung quite far back in the throat

In keep the home fires burning, the only bit I could feel was nasal was the top note, otherwise it wasn't nasal. I think possibly it is because you're pushing quite heavily or it sounds that way, may just be a dramatic aspect of your voice.

Also don't take my opinion on it, however I find your voice very calming and not nasal at all :)

I agree! I did find it a bit nasal at some points but mainly just because I really listened after it. It wouldn't have occured to me if you hadn't said something about it. Also; I don't think there is anything wrong with sounding nasal if it's not too much, obviously, but if you feel that it is a problem there are ways to practice on sounding less nasal; wich I don't really have the expertise to explain :( But as I said; in my opinion I think your voice sounds good!

Maybe it's a little too nasal in some parts, but I think it's not the main problem. I think you should focus on support correctly and learn how to lead the sound to the right place in order to achieve different textures in the different resonators, and be able to sing with less effort and with more self-confidence. When you control this, you will be able to sound more or less nasal if you want. It's all about control the basics. Then, you can sound nasal when you want, and it still sounds good.

I hope I've explained that clearly.

Yeah, RobSnx and Loni. A little nasality is a actually good from what I've heard. I've heard singers with that "nasal" tone into it, but it actually sounds listenable or pleasant.

So... do I actually sound good?

In my humble opinion, you don't sound good. But as I said, the nasality it's not the thing that annoys me. You sound insecure and there are pitch problems. You don't sound consistent. It sounds weak, without good support and compression. I repeat, in my opinion... I'm still learning...
