TMV World Legacy Member sixohs Posted July 6, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted July 6, 2014 Hey guys, here are some of my singing "demos". I would appreciate the most critical feed back possible on the vocals. I think Im "tenor" or whatever, but Im not sure if Im singing too breathy, or too nasally, or my voice is just annoying like that. (haha) Any pointers would be great, heres the link: The track "spins" is after I practiced some diaphragm support and resonance. The track "front row", is when I used to smoke cigarettes and mainly sang low.
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted July 6, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted July 6, 2014 Both tracks are good, though I like the second one better from the perspective of song construction. You don't really have a voice type and you are not stretching the voice in any direction to truly establish a voice type. Classically, at least in opera, a voice type encompasses 2 octaves and you barely cover most of one. Problem is, baritone and tenor overlap but the weight of your voice is like that of a tenor. That is, you don't have what I would call the low "boom" of a baritone. Not that those descriptions will help you much and you don't need them to sing these songs or be a success with these recordings.
