Hey all, I just recorded this yesterday and it's about the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever tried to sing the song so I know I make mistakes vocally as well as on guitar. I'm just looking to see what people think of my voice and if they could offer some suggestions to help me sound better, Thank You!

The guitar is a little unpitched and I think you put much reverb on the song. I think you need more training in the low pitchs passages because they are sounding a little unpitched too. Your voice is powerful and sounds very relax and a very original timbre. Great ;)

I like the tone of your voice. I agree there were some pitch problems but nothing drastic. Maybe a little more twang. As for mistakes, welcome to the club. I can botch a song I have done for years. Especially when I am recording. I think I have "red light syndrome." I can do a song live and do it fine but recording trips me up.

Thank you both for your comments! I didn't really rehearse the song except for running through the song a few times on my own before recording. I think because I was unsure of the timing and lyrics for a few of the lines that that had contributed to some of the pitch problems. The low stuff is a bit hard for me to do because (I believe) I spend a lot of my time doing exercises geared towards extending my higher range but I'll start doing low exercises to in order to get my low end back in shape! Again thanks for you time and thoughts guy's!

Your upper range sounded fine to me. But we're in the same boat. I bet that live, you nail it, regularly. There's something about recording that brings on performance pressure.
