I think you need more adduction on your vocal chords, especially when singing the high notes. Your high notes sound very breathy. You should be aiming for a sharper, brighter sound. Take into account that I'm just someone that's learning to sing as well so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Maybe someone more knowledgable could jump in and help you out too.

The distortion is nice, but I think you'd sound better without. How does your voice feel after singing this song?

Any feedback is good feedback, it widens my perspective, so thanks for putting some time into it :) I actually try to sound abit breathy at both low and high pitch during this cover, and some of the distortion is abit "much". Going sharper/more bity in the higher registers are in my opinion "easier" than what I do here, so what I try to do is to ad more power, alot of power. Although it's probably noticeable that my voice is abit out of shape these days and I don't pull it off as good as I would like to.

I sing the entire song without experiencing strain/issues, this distortion is all about breathy technique so my voice can take quite a few rounds with this song before becoming fatigued.

Very nice! You got the attitude of the song down. Your tone is not too far from Chris', with the exception as the poster above mentioned, that you might want a bit more bite on the higher notes. I'm not a teacher, but I'm pretty sure you can develop this. So keep at it.

Thanks Bzean! Yea, it's important to be able to express what the song is about I think, I try to avoid the song becoming flat and emotionless and put alot of work into mixing different expressions into the arrangement. I'll take both of your feedbacks regarding high pitch into consideration, and we'll see where I end up. I know I'm capable of developing way beyond this performance at least :)
