Excellent dark drama .(sons of anarchy dvd)

Sons of Anarchy is a

show about a motorcycle gang that is based in a small

California town. It centers around Jax, a young biker who is VP of the club and sort of heir to the throne. The series writer/creator

previously worked on The Shield and he brings that same kind of gritty realism and character driven drama to this new work. This is

only season 1 and I don't want to hype it up too

much, but it really is an excellent show. The characters are realistic and deep, the story is compelling, and it's an entertaining

watch.

Ron Perlman and Katey Segal also star in the series and are doing great work. I had my doubts if Katey could step up to a serious role

after a life spent doing comedies, but she has won me over. Ron Perlman does great work as always and is an excellent fit for the aging

leader of the biker gang.
