TMV World Legacy Member Keith Posted December 18, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted December 18, 2013 The pitch is all over the place, I think because you are singing just barely loud enough to be heard. You need to support more, learn the basics. If you search this forum, there are TONS of threads on support. Start there. and don't be afraid to sing louder lol. www.drop-head.com
TMV World Legacy Member MDEW Posted December 18, 2013 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted December 18, 2013 You are still singing from your speaking range and a speaking mindset. Some singers refer to singing as " The Call of the Voice". Meaning that it is closer to a controlled "Yell" or " Call " than it is to speaking. I was in the same position and I would choose songs that were in my speaking range. One way to break this habit is by either singing songs that are Higher in pitch or put a capo on your guitar (At least to the second fret ) and play and sing the songs that you know in a higher pitch. You want to get out of your comfort zone so you do not carry over bad habits. "You need a strong foundation to reach the heights."
