  1. Thank you! The song is actually very hard for me. It was on the edge of my abilities....Can't sing it live because the voice gets tired and starts breaking and shaking......
  2. Thank you very much! I am russian and my accent is because of that...... Yes, I notice that there is smth wrong with my accent but on this stage I care more about my tone. I hope that one day I will manage the accent when I feel more free with the tone/:)
  3. Tell me please what are good and bad moments.... I still learn to sing without singing teachers.....
  4. Hello! I sang "Forever yours" by Evanessence. I'd be glad to get any feedback on this. Please, comment if I am on pitch or out....It's hard to unerstand when I am without a teacher of singing.... My accent is russian. http://rghost.ru/49932937
  5. Wow! You sound so professional and the quality of the recording is pretty nice! The vibrato is beautiful! I liked the song and your singing!
  6. geno, thank you very much! Your post cheers me up! I don't even know if this song is classical or pop, but as far as I remember I heard this song sung in a classical manner if I am not mistaken....I usually sing pop and folk songs. In russian forums they critisize my folk manner in pop songs though I don't hear that at all. But no one has ever told me that I sound like a classical singer. You are the first and the one who told me that and it's a great compliment to me! Thank you!!!:)
  7. I answered there.....sorry, i made you wait long but I type words very slowly:D
  8. Now I am listening. It will take some time before I answer.:)
  9. Ok, would be nice to listen to.... And what is "velvety tembre"?:D
  10. Well....I don't like jazz though I realize my voice fits perfectly this genre....but I don't like it:( And what is "velvety tembre"?:D
  11. When I sang scales I checked my lowest note - A2, but I can sing only B2. The highest one is D6. But I can sing only in the middle of the 5 th octave....
  12. Thank you for the info about voices, now I know it's more important to sing well than to class oneself. I know my singing range(tessitura) and that's enough for singing in a nice tembre in a comfort zone. I usually like any kind of music but rap, jazz....I also sing songs in english....
  13. Thank you! I didn't know...... Thank you! Actually I have Audition 5 programm and I can use it. Next time I will record in it. I am glad that my pitch became better I still work on it. Now it's easier to sing than it was before. Karaoke.ru usually saves synchronically but it often fails to do it. why an octave higher? I agree. It is unnecessary information about voice classification. In all russian forums they keep asking such a question and it seems to be a usual thing there....They always class each other which is wrong to do....So it made me think that it's alright in pop style too....:D
  14. Hello everyone! I need your advice, will you help please? First of all I'd like you to know that I am russian so my english is not good. So please don't be surprised at the way I use english. Secondly, I learn to sing without any teacher's help so I am a beginner in singing. My voice type is mezzo - soprano I think. I sing pop. So my question is: Do I sing on tune? What would you advise me? I am a little bit out of rythm because I recorded on - line in karaoke.ru. And it saved the voice track not synchronically with the music. Some problems were with internet connection. Or I don't know why.... Here is my singing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd3WZ3Ks1qE - my head voice http://www.karaoke.ru/records/10449353/ - my chest voice _____________________ By the way I am looking for a palfriend from the US\UK for communication in english. I want to improve my english and know more about the culture of the us\uk people. If someone from the us\uk is interested - my skype is toni7777ful
  15. I found it and did Improving Tone Exercises along with the video and I wasn't off key. But I don't know how it can help me learn to sing songs without being off pitch? Sometimes I do warm - ups and on key, but that's nothing when I sing a real song.....
  16. Thank you all! I wanted to translate "lip roll" and didn't understand what google showed in my language....smth like....lips to make round....I think it wasn't the best translation. I think you meant more than just making lips round..... So, as I see from the posts my main problem is PITCH....I sang the song yesterday and I found out that I go off pitch not always in the same places, sometimes right sometimes the same place is wrong. I remember the melody in my head but the voice doesn't respond my memory.......
  17. I can't play any instruments but I got a virtual piano on my laptop.....But how to map the notes of the melody? One note takes some time to find. But there are a great number of notes....It seams to me impossible to do it....Or there are more quick and effective ways to map the notes?
  18. Thank you, Darion! Yes, some high notes were somewhat not very easy for me. I didn't even record the last part of the song because I can't hit D5 as well and easy as she does.....I tried but only was either off pitch(flat) or in the head register with a terrible break in to the head register.....May be this song is not in my tessiture?
  19. Thank you for the post! Yes, I think I know where I'm off pitch and off beat. I don't actually remember very good the melody of the song and I don't know what I should do to memorize it better. :)
