  1. Simpan you cant just learn to phonate higher notes. Its not like you will do step 1 2 3 4 and belt D5. To sing higher you need to train the musculature and coordination in your larynx so it can support the weight of the resonant energy being produced. And this takes years, but ofc ater a few months (6-8) you can start feeling very good proggress.

Btw preety good cover. A little rough but non the less preety great.

  2. This feels very authentic to me. From phrasing to your timbre. Very Lenonish. I like it alot. Truly i do!

I dont really hear nasality so i think you got that down! Also this sounds great already, studio might polish it a bit but thats marginal!

Also that preety awesome light phonation. Truly this is something that i cant do at ALL. This song is right up there in my range but i sing it alot more powerful (which is bad). I sound more like Coverdale singing this song instead Paul Mcartney. Kudos A!

  3. Killer tone!

I envy guys like you :D Even if you sing sour it still sounds awesome!

Will be very interesting to hear how you will develop your higher register. My guess is that you will end up sounding something along the lines of this:

    Great potential!

Wow bro!! Coming from such an awesome singer like yourself that means ALOT!

Thanks for your compliments, it truly warms my heart (and cords :P)!!

  4. Hi Elvis,

Haha.. How come you know that I'm Indian ? Well you are right brother it's really very tough for me to catch the accent of these Western and American songs. Well still I do love to sing them :P  But if you can help me by figuring out the words where my accent was wrong, I will try to improve them in my future singing but again can't guarantee as You know I got a complete different Indian accent :D  ...

And thank you so much for your appreciation bro... didn't expected that someone will like it even more than orignal.. hehe :)) :o  :D

Thanks a lot once again for ur valuable time to watch my this recording. :)

I dont like James Blunt that much maybe thats why i like it more xD

I cant really help you with the accent cuz i dont know what it takes to correct it (beside imitating as much as possible).

Also how do i know your Indian? Well i think in India names like Kumar, Sanyaj, Sathya, Patel etc. are preety common but i might be wrong :P

Also accent is not that bad at all small correction is needed only.

  5. No it doesnt hurt i do that to sing high notes otherwise it sounds straining. Does it sound bad?

Well depends what you are after. For going out of the box and making a "modern metal" style cover its fine, but for a real IM tribute cover it should be cleaner. That said, i dont think you can magically belt out B4 in a week so i guess you should perform with this type of sound.

Kinda seems you cant really play and sing at the same time. You are loosing phrases when playing (at least in the clip).

Also disregard my comment about vocal suicide cuz obviously it doesent hurt so i guess its fine.

Im also a beginner so wait for someone more knowledgable to help you brah :)

  6. Bro stop that right now. Thats vocal suicide right there. False cord distortion is ok and not harmful when done properly but you are killing your voice. Its not bad. You can sing decently esspecially the lower part. But that highs were scary to even listen.

Btw that distorted sound you made is common in technical death metal and metalcore genres but i dont think your doing it right.

    Does it hurt?
