4 live metal tracks - not decent audio

Hey everybody,

I've been off the forum for a long time due to my heavy schedule but I wanted to share the following tracks from

a live gig we performed a couple of days ago and have your opinion.

a) This track is an embarrassment as far as pitch is concerned but we only rehearsed it twice and I'm pretty confident I could have said it with far less strain if I paid more attention.

Queensryche : Walk in the Shadows - http://www.box.net/shared/aq8oeamu2d

B) This was a breeze to perform - no straining, and pitch was decent.

Judas Priest : Metal Gods - http://www.box.net/shared/o4u4j8u0gd

c) Same here, a decent performance I reckon.

Judas Priest : Beyond The Realms of Death - http://www.box.net/shared/dbi7gr88av

d) This could have been kick ass - one of my favorite songs - but it was rehearsed twice only and there were too many sound problems (as you'll hear) that really distracted me and

it came out less than half decent .... such a shame....

Iced Earth : Dracula - http://www.box.net/shared/2bnory3jm8

The most positive thing is that I performed 20 metal tracks and although the sound was terrible and I could barely discern

the key notes of the band, I didn't strain my voice one bit and woke up the next morning with an even more resonant and rich sound.

Really grateful despite all the off pitch notes.

Let me know what you guys think

Kind Regards,

Thanos

I think you did a great job, man! Some kick ass metal vocals going on there. Because it's live, not every note is perfect, but as a whole it sounded pretty perfect to me. I also sounded like it was fun for you guys and the audience.

You're faster than a bullet you are lol Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Yeah, the audience was ecstatic , it was good fun !

I uploaded the original mp4 versions as they are of better quality - hope this will help distinguish the vox just a bit better.

Sadly, my computer won't play mp4. That's what you get for recording nex-gen.

Curses, Thanos, curses, foiled by my old computer (I start it with a hand-crank, like a Model T Ford.)

Don't know why, but every time I try to play the file, I only hear some strange sounds, like it was slowed down or something. Anyone else has those problems?

I'm amazed at how much you can sound like different singers. Considering these were live recordings with whatever equipment, I could still hear, distantly. But it sounded great and I can only imagine what it was like, in person.

Yeah, it sounded like it was recorded through a pillow from a distance. I assume it was recorded on some small digital recorder. Just imagine a cd burn right off the main board, if that were possible.
