I liked the high part. You sang this in neutral (CVT) mode. It will be fantastic to hear more twang from you. You are really gifted man, and you have got good sense of music. I agree about that it needs more feeling and soul, every song sounds better if it's sung with heart. Second, the beginning sounds as if you're singing without opening your mouth much, I don't know if that's true, but give it a shot trying to sing with your mouth wide open, take in a big breath of air and belt out those notes with drastic lip movement, you should hear a difference, and don't try and hold back on volume or strain for more volume than you have, just feel the song and let your voice ride your emotions doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. -Albert Einstein's definition of insanity.
