:)This Sunday I will be recording this song I wrote called "Blue Moon" in the studio. This is a video of me a few moment ago singing it. Please critique my singing. Any tips or advice would be great!

Also let me know if you think I should get a drummer or just keep it as is. Thanks!

"BLUE MOON" Lyrics

Beautiful day

And here comes his reckoning

Every dog has his day

So who knows what he did

That’s easy to say

When its not you on the floor

I saw them driving away

With the last, of the worst, I ever saw

Blue Moon

Shot that poor man down

Blue Moon

Bang! Bang! That can’t be right!

To this day

I wonder why he was put away

Rolling right on though

I know they got the right guy

Changing lives

By killing guys

In a van that’s blue

So parents said

“Hey kids, this aint no home for you”

Blue Moon

Shot that poor man down

Blue Moon

Bang! Bang! That can’t be right!

That was cool. Nicely done lyrics, evoke a mental picture. As for adding instruments, I don't know. A number of other people who have used harmonica, like Neil Young, don't require a lot of drum sound because it would overshadow the rhythm already inherent in the strum of the guitar and the breathing rhythm of the harmonica. If you do some drums on it, do it with the brush sticks, kind of jazzy weight. This ain't no disco, this ain't no rap, this ain't no hip hop.

This is folk song art, like Neil Young, but with a better voice than his. And yes, I said that out loud.
