napoleonboot
All vocals by me. Created with my friends on www.musicianscollaboration.com. As usual, constructive criticism is welcome. :
napoleonboot
I just updated the mix, it wasn't quite final. I am singing in tenor range for this, I couldn't have done that a couple of years ago, this whole song would have been too high for me (especially the harmony vocals). My singing technique has definitely changed.
Validar
Very cool. I dig it. This will likely sound very strange, but this was like Peter Gabriel meets Rush meets Marillion to me. The fact that this is an original makes it all the more impressive. Great work.
napoleonboot
Validar - Thanks for listening and commenting! yes it came out as a mish-mash of prog-rock styles, none of which was intentional, others have commented it's a bit Yes, ELP, Genesis But... Peter Gabriel, Rush, Marillion are all good! This is the first series of 3 songs we are working.
ronws
I was going to say, a bit of the Mersey sound. And the lyrics make me think of Shakespeare. And I don't say that just because you are a brit. It's the turn of phrase that you put in that makes me think of the Bard. Then, both he and the Bible have said, "There is no new thing under the sun." Good stuff, George.
