  1. I just uploaded my cover of Sarah Brightman's "Only an Ocean Away" video. I made this back when I was 13 (i'm 15 now) but Youtube had the sound muted claiming copyright. I know I'm not the only artist doing covers but that's how it goes. Now that I'm a Youtube partner I'm gonna see how it goes.
  2. Hi everyone. I couldn't sing for a few weeks because I had my 4 wisdom teeth pulled out so I decided to do a piano video. I hope you don't mind me sharing it with you. I love this song "Ballade pour Adeline" by Richard Clayderman. I hope you enjoy!
  3. We got this out just in time for the Halloween holiday. We got the perfect "family crypt" for "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from "The Phantom of the Opera". I thought of losing my dad like the songs says and easily cried during filming. My mom can't watch it without crying. LOL. Have fun...and bring the tissues.
  4. Thank for the kind words everyone. It was quite a project. Adolph, got the videos up on the Home Page. :)
  5. Hi everyone. This video took sooooo long to make. It took quite a while just to get the song down but then the video took forever to make and edit. After learning all the hand motions from the Diva in the movie we did some "alien" make up and filmed the singing in front of the green screen. Well we learned later that editing the green screen with a blueish green dress is quite a challenge. Dad choreographed the fight scenes of course and even let me beat him up like always, he he. My friend Alex got in the the butt whooping and dad even made a Parkour scene for me. I hope you like it.
  6. Thank you everyone for those kind words. They sell toy guns now only in bright orange so that a kid won't get into trouble and get shot by someone who thought it was real. So we painted it black and brown and hit the street. We stayed out of trouble My dad started Aikido in 1985 and lived in Japan studying at Honbu dojo for 7 years from 1989 to 1997 (he spent some time in Thailand, China and Korea). The best part about that is that he met my mom there and now I'm here. LOL This is my third Morricone song. I also did one for the movie "Once Upon a Time in the West" called "Jill's Theme".
  7. Hi everyone. I not only love the old western movies but I love their soundtracks. Earlier I vocalized to "Once upon a time in the West" with Charles Bronson. This time it's my all time favorite, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" with Clint Eastwood. The songs name is "The Ecstasy of Gold" written by Ennio Morricone. The powerful music he wrote stirs up such strong emotions that it really made the slow pace of the "spaghetti westerns" work.
  8. Thank you for the kind words, Karl. Adolph. Mom, Dad and I love you too. We hope you are feeling better. Thanks for all your help :D
  9. Hi everyone. I just made this fun collaboration with Chooka Parker, finalist from Australia's Got Talent. Chooka is a genius piano player and we decided to do Elton John's "Can you feel the love tonight" but in a different style. It was a lot of fun working together over such a long distance. My mom gave me "lion eyes" for this. I hope you like it.
  10. Thank you for watching and listening everyone. I really appreciate it. There aren't too many rock songs in my future but I had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks again.
  11. Hi everyone. I found this great classical version of Metallica's song "Nothing Else Matters" and thought I'd try something a little different. We had so much fun bringing the video camera into all my classes to get the footage for during the instrumental parts. Be sure to watch 'til the end to see a couple of bloopers. This one's for you Adolph.
  12. Well, at least for an amateur. The song is Ombra mai fu and is the opening aria from the 1738 opera "Serse" by George Frideric Handel. The opera was a commercial failure, lasting only five performances in London after its premiere. In the 19th century, however, the aria was rediscovered and became one of Handel's best-known pieces. We went out to a fantastic Historic house called the "Swan House" in Atlanta and they don't let recording with a crew so we just used the camcorder and took a bunch of footage. Then came back to my trusty Green Screen room and put on the dress and make up and filmed away. Of course you have to look at the footage first to plan some things so you fit in the back ground correctly. It's not supposed to look exactly "real" but perhaps surreal is the best way to describe it. I hope you like it.
  13. Wow, Martin, I loved both of those. I love to see all that great acting with your singing. Wonderful job. Wish I could have been in the audience. By the way. Where is that outdoor theater? ~Elena~
  14. First I was using PowerDirector which is very reasonably priced. The Adobe Premiere is expensive but awesome. We got is at a reasonable price because I'm home-schooled and dad can buy at the Educator price. :)
  15. Thank ronws. I use one of the best for greenscreen, Adobe Premire Pro CS6. It is so much better than the software I used before. A year ago we changed one room to a greenscreen studio. We painted half the room in the greenscreen paint and put a greenscreen backdrop on the floor so I'm standing in a green box when we film those.
  16. Hi everyone. I have just added a forth version of Ave Maria to my list of songs. This version is Ave Maria by Bach/Gounod which consists of a melody by the French Romantic composer Charles Gounod especially designed to be superimposed over the Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, from Book I of J.S. Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier, written some 137 years earlier. We were in Macon Georgia for the Sakura Cheri blossom festival last April and got this great cathedral footage for this film. I hope you like it.
  17. The song was composed by Shigeru Umebayashi for the movie "House of Flying daggers". It was originally sung by Kathleen Battle. Thank you.
  18. Thank you for your kind words. We did try running across the tops of bamboo stalks but I kept getting my dress snagged on them. LOL
  19. Hi everyone. We had so much fun making this video match the feeling of the movie. We went to the state botanical garden for most of it and used green screen for the rest. I would really appreciate it if anyone would share this in their social media like Facebook or Twitter.
  20. Hi all. My latest is an Aria called "Chi il Bel Sogno di Doretta" from the Opera "La Rondine" by Giacomo Puccini. I love wearing fancy old style dresses. This one even had 3 hoops under it to give it that big shape. My mom's an artist and she designs my sets. That's her painting she made for me of the "reading girl" on the wall behind me. Some bloopers from making this video and others are in this Vlog.
  21. Thanks Adolph and Jeff! The lyrics weren't hard to learn but hitting the C6 with vibrato was the goal. :)
  22. Hi everyone. My latest assignment from my teacher was "Jill's Theme" from the 1968 spaghetti western "Once Upon a Time in the West". The music was written by the composing GOD, Ennio Morrconne. I just had to watch the movie after being assigned this song and it was really cool. Visually stunning even if it was a little slow in today's standards. I feel that the "slowness" causes those visual images to stick in ones head more though.
  23. Hi everyone. Here is another song from my Switzerland concert. All of the music I sang with at the concert was written by Thomas Schauffert who you see on the left playing piano and singing. I wrote my voice into his music and had such a great time performing at the Scala Basel. In case you didn't see the Vlog about the concert here it is. Thomas was such a great host and he even brought us to the Alps for a day of sledding and a Fondue dinner at the top.
  24. My teacher picks my songs according to what he is trying to teach me. I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses "Queen of the Night" sometime though. On another note, I do have a song coming up on my list that the Rockers will enjoy. Sorry, I won't let the cat out of the bag but I'm sure you will like it. :D
  25. Thank you, Ronws. I am an only child and my parents do give me a lot of their time. I just made this for my dad. He's the greatest!
