  1. Hi everyone! I just finished recording my latest assignment "The Last Rose of Summer" used by Friedrich von Flotow in his opera "Martha", which premiered in 1847 in Vienna. We use a neighbor's beautiful garden and gazebo for the filming location. The song is from a poem by Irish poet Thomas Moore. The poem is alluded to in the Grateful Dead song "Black Muddy River".
  2. Hi guys. My first video all decked out in my Elven attire. We went out to a nearby vineyard to record this and were lucky enough to get a sunset in the footage. We raced to the far side of the grounds to catch it as a backdrop behind the castle.
  3. That part usually confuses people. It is always at the end of the test when you are tired. There is a single attack. A two shoulder grab/tackle. The idea is to keep moving and rotating so that the attackers don't get a solid grip on you. Your movements keeps their attacking energy off balance. It they get a solid hold then you resort to one of the many techniques earlier in the video. :)
  4. Hi everyone. I just took another Aikido (Martial Arts) test. It was an Hour and twenty minutes long but I cut out a whole bunch and made this 2 minute video. I put my singing "May it Be" from the movie "Lord of the Rings" by Enya in the background. My dad owns the Dojo so I've been doing Aikdio since I was 2 years old. We put some pictures of me at 2 years old throwing dad at the end of the video. Enjoy!
  5. Hi Everyone. Here is a video of my first Ave Maria. This is the most popular version called Ave Maria - Schubert. Special thanks to the First Baptist Church down the street for letting me film in their sanctuary.
  6. Recording was tough, too. I kept crying in the middle. You can see my eyes are red in the video. Had to do it a couple of times to get through it.
  7. Hi everyone. My dog and best friend, B.D., passed away in 2010. On the one year anniversary I made this tribute to her. A year later I changed from singing from chest voice to head voice so I re-recorded the singing using Sarah Brightman's music. B.D. lived in Tokyo, Bangkok and Atlanta so she had a full life. She was with us when I was born and was like a sister to me. I still cry when I think about her. It was hard to sing on the verge of crying.
  8. Hi guys. Some of you know I had a big Youtube channel that was hacked and shut down. Now I upload old and new videos one per week to my new channel. I re-recorded the audio for this video because I knew I could do it better. The song is "O Mio Babbino Caro" from the opera Gianni Schicchi, by Giacomo Puccini. Read the story below to see why I made my dad be in the video and to understand why he didn't need any acting skills. Buoso Donati has died and his relatives have found his will and discoverd that he has left all his money to the church. Furious, they do not know what to do. Rinuccio, who is in love with Lauretta but is forbidden to marry her unless he was left some of the inheritance, sends for Gianni Schicchi and Lauretta to see if they can help them. When the relatives find this out, they are furious and argue with Gianni Schicchi. Fed up, he starts to leave, but Lauretta stops him with this aria, singing that she loves Rinuccio and if doesn't help them, she will throw herself in the river and die.
  9. Thank you all for your kind words. Adolph. I will always remember your calls to my family and that we share more than music. Ron. I plan love Sarah's voice but I really love the extravagance of her costumes in her concerts. I can see me in some of those amazing dresses. Validar. Enya has such a great haunting voice at times. I hope to sing with some epic movie soundtracks some day. My teacher chooses all the songs I sing according to what I need to learn next. I will mention "Fallen Embers". Thanks.
  10. Hi guys. Here is my live recording of Enya's song "May it Be" from the first "Lord of the Rings" movie "Fellowship of the Ring". It is from my concert in Switzerland with Thomas Hienz World Music. They got three outfits for me to wear through the concert and this one is definitely my favorite.
  11. Thanks Validar. It took just as long to learn the German as it did to learn the song. I did put the English lyrics in the description under the video on Youtube if you are interested.
  12. Hi guys. This is my first song in German so please be gentle about my pronunciation. My dance teacher and I spent 3 weeks putting together the dance moves to go along with the song. The song is "Meine Lippen, sie küssen so heiss" from the Opera "Giuditta" by Frans Lehar. I hope you enjoy the performance. Story: The alluring Giuditta abandons her husband Manuele, and runs off with Octavio, an army officer, to North Africa. Military obligations intervene, and Octavio leaves Giuditta behind. She becomes a night club dancer, only to be discovered by Octavio, after he eventually deserts his unit. Giuditta is a success in her new profession, but Octavio's self-esteem is destroyed, and he becomes a club pianist.
  13. That project was a lot of fun. Julien is such a good singer. His specialty is harmonizing as a one man quartet. His YT channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/trudbol
  14. If you know Sarah Brightman then your not as much of a Redneck as you think. As for dirtbunny ....... what's a dirtbunny? haha
  15. Hi everyone. This is definitely something different for me and I had so much fun doing it. Julien Neel is my friend from France who does the One Man Barbershop Quartet. Then he invited me to sing the soprano part of Marian Paroo in "Lida Rose" & "Will I Ever Tell You" from the movie "The Music Man". Then he added Christy-Lyn Marais from South Africa to play the piano as Mrs. Paroo. Have fun!
  16. Hi everyone. I'm getting my Pie Jesu out just in time for Easter. I filmed the footage of St. Gervais Cathedral when we went there after my Switzerland concert. I gave it a little of my own Operatic flavor. I hope you like it.
  17. Thank you Chavie. The ears will have to wait. You know what they say about 'too much of a good thing'. BTW: Huge arms, dude! LOL
  18. Thank you. I love Sarah's voice and fantastic stage costumes!
  19. Thank you Adolph. You've always been so supportive! :)
  20. Hi everyone. This is the first video from the concert in Switzerland. They put me in an amazing silk dress for most of the concert but also had me in a leather outfit for the "Indio Child" martial arts part you might have see in my demo video. At the last minute on the day before the concert one of the producers said I had to have wings for the final song so they took me to a huge costume rental place and found this white robe/dress. I used some ballet moves with it and it worked great as a dress and wings. I hope you like it!
  21. I think you told me that before BUT it is so true that I like you reminding me. (Dad teaching me singing...Bahaha)
  22. Thank you guys. That was my poor dad getting thrown around on stage. He's my teacher so it's fun to be the one in charge for a change. LOL Mr. Adolph, I'm on it. :D
  23. Hi everyone. That is my new catch phrase on my Youtube channel. "Have you ever seen a classical singer kick butt?" In my updated Talent Demo Video we put it all in there. Singing live, martial arts, gymnastics... I couldn't believe the producer from Switzerland hired me for his concert and flew my family there because he needed a lead soprano singer who could dance plus he had a martial arts scene to cover. I had three changes of costume. One amazing silk dress, one angel wings type dress and leather from head to toe for the martial arts scene. The show was so much fun! Have fun.
