  1. Owen: Sounds interesting... You have any idea on how to do it? :)
  2. Thanks MDEW. Actually, since its per IP address, then using a computer, and then if you have a data plan on your phone would be another ip. That is what I do. Of course there are ways to change your ip address, but that is just cheating... Thanks a million!
  3. You rock guys!! Not you Ronws.. derailing the thread.. You should be ashamed of yourself. Lambert fits the job perfectly. Now back to voting 70 votes behind 2nd now ....
  4. Hey Guys. Need your quick help and support. I have entered a Singer of the month competition in Australia, and I am doing ok but need some much needed votes. Voting can be done from one device a day only as it goes by IP. but every 24 hours you can vote again, and there will be one grateful Gilad Click on the link, scroll all the way down, choose my name, and click vote. http://www.starcentralmagazine.com/male-artists-2/2014/02/26/male-artists-march-2014/ Thanks a million fellow vocalists! Gilad
  5. Well, I predicted the US would go for the format, and I was right. Starting at the FALL on ABC
  6. Hey George! Its pretty great!! I really enjoyed it! Loved your voice and your accuracy. Did you meet these guys on indaba or kompoz? Keep it up man.
  7. Hey MDEW! At last I hear your voice! Nice job man! I dont really know the song Shambala, but I do Halleluya, and it sounds so authentic. Your voice fits it perfectly!
  8. Arouna, You have an amazing voice, with a beautiful color to it. I would go full into vocal training as you really have something special. I really enjoyed listening to your rendition of amazing grace in acapella. Best of luck! Gilad
  9. Sounds awesome!!! Here your voice fits it perfectly! :)
  10. I am no pro, so take my input with a grain of salt Very nice performance Flip! A bit weak or Shivering, but you got a nice tone, and right on pitch. (Except the shiverring, or unwanted vibrato). Keep it up! :)
  11. RHan, Hope you dont mind ill be a bit tougher. You have a nice timber to your voice. I would still try to sing it in the higher pitch. A major issue I heard is that you are not singing in the right rhythm. You are too fast compared to the melody. All in all, I am sure she will be delighted to hear it this way as well! I have a friend who covered this song, and did an amazing job. Click on the link below to hear. Anyways, Hope I wasnt too harsh. Keep it up buddy & Good luck!
  12. Hey Ron, thanks for the input. Actually in the last week, I finally got accepted to ACUM which is an organization for Music and Lyrics writer, and since I had a few songs played on the local radio recently, then I was accepted. Anyways, now as I have a login/passwd to their site, I can add new songs for free. I add the text, add an mp3 file, give the name of the song, the musicians who worked the arrangements and it is copywrited locally and internationally. So for my original stuff, I have that covered. Thanks. ;)
  13. Ok. I created another youtube account that will be used for Covers. Worst case it will be erased.. Case closed LOL.
  14. Hey man. Welcome to the forum. I think you can start by recording with less reverb. Its really difficult to review your voice this way. All in all, anyone can sing with the right training. For your genre, I highly recommend the 4 pillars of singing which is the website owner's program. Robert Lunte goes into extreme singing including screams, distortion etc.. which seems like that is your style. Hope this helps.
  15. ok, just as suspected. The world is starting to buy the format. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/is-israels-rising-star-next-639089
  16. Thanks Guys. The plan is really to get more views to my original songs at the end. If the viewers like my singing, then they would want to hear original stuff as well. But from what you are saying, that is considered as linking... Not trying to make money. Just get heard.
  17. Hey Guys. Didn't know where to post it, so thought this is the most suitable category. Anyways, I am reading all over, that uploading a cover song, (in my case, purchasing a playback and recording my vocals to it) is considered copyright infringement. Even if you play your own instrument. I have also read that youtube has closed accounts with covers.. On the other hand, I have noticed tons and tons of covers being uploaded, without bringing up names, a vocal coach that for his vocal examples does covers of all the great singers, and we also have a lot more users on this forum that have uploaded great covers with their vocals. Before I start uploading covers, I wanted to ask what is the word on the street regarding this? Am I in danger of have my youtube account closed if I do this? Doesn't make sense to me, but this is what I am reading. Would love to hear your input in this regards.
  18. AAAMMMMAZZZING! I love Freddy and your rendition of "A crazy thing called love" was excellent bro!! Do a youtube vid. I guarantee you will get thousands of views. Thanks for this great recording!
  19. Hey Jug! Great voice bro! Few questions: What mic are you using? Is the room you record in treated for acoustics or are using some sort of vocal booth?
  20. Hey guys. So, in Israel, they came up with an interesting format for a Televised Singing competition. Ill try to explain what is going on there. They have a stage, and on the stage there is a huge screen separating the crowd/judges from the performer. The performer starts to sing, acapella, or with his own instrument, and then comes the interesting part. There is a smartphone app that this show created, and each and everyone who downloads it, can say yes or no to this individual performing. Each time someone votes yes, his facebook profile photo is shown on this huge screen in front of the singer which separates him from the crowd and 4 judges. Anyways, once he receives 60% of the votes, (each judge on the table gives 15% when he votes yes.) the screen rises, and he is in the competition. When the screen rises, then a full band of instruments joins his singing, and then the crowd can see him. Now.... If he doesnt hit this 60% mark.... He goes home. Never saw the judges, never got any feedback, and knows that the world saw him. He just walks away.. Kind of cruel, but as a reality stunt I think will work well for the producers. All this is done live, for the first time tonight. In my opinion, this has the potential to be a world wide hit. I am assuming they will start selling it abroad very soon. What are your thoughts about this?
  21. Kick: I think its what he is able to do at the moment. I dont think its something a sound he is trying to get. It sounds a bit like whispering, but in my opinion (and i am not a professional) I think you have potential in your voice. Just think you need to put more of yourself into the singing. Then again, I might be totally wrong. Best of luck!
