Hey Compiled, im with Jens on this. I am no vocal instructor, so take what I give you with a grain of salt Singing for the stars also uses these exercises as well. The Nay exercises help achieve better chord closure in your head voice.. They must sound whiny, and nasally in order to be effective. Just like Jens says, don't worry about singing while doing these exercises. You are supposed to sound exaggerated for this to work. Doing the Nasally nay sound causes your larynx to go up. Mum's should sound much dopier than you did in your recording. When you say "Duh" in a dopey way, you will notice your larynx dampens. Talking like Barney the kid's character also does that. Anyways, when doing the mums, you need to achieve the same lowered larynx condition for it to work. The mum get's you vocal chord closure in your chest voice. Here is a video talking about the lowered larynx exercise. Hope this helps.

Hey Man. Quality of the recording is really a major issue here when it comes to trying to hear the flaws in the vocals. You have some off pitch areas. How would you fix it? Well, taking vocal lessons would be a good start. Are you going through any vocal training?

Hey Baritone, Ok, the idea is not bad at all. It can become a pretty nice production. Has the Michael Jackson touch if you know what I mean. Please bare in mind, these are my personal opinions: 1) When we first me, You thought I was like, (Everybody).. Everybody doesn't sound well in the melody, at least not the way its sung. Try singing it not Every...Body but Everybody. I think it will fit better. 2) To me it sounds like 1 verse, and 1 chorus. Am i right? All in all, i love it, and think it has huge potential with a full production. Good luck, and feel free to reach out to me via email if you want help with the production.

Enader: Amateur?!?! Are you kidding me?!? Nice job bro!!!! :cool: Your tone is amazing. The Falsetto I didn't like that much along with the delay on the screams. But there were some nice riffs on there during the screams at the end of the clip. That was really nice. Great way to start!

I am going to come out and say it, there is no way I can sing "Child in time" I think my vocals would sound squeaky, and thin. Then again, I am not trying to build a thick voice in the highs. I might still give it a try, and probably keep it to myself if I don't think its worthy to post. Either way, I don't think I can even get close to your production Rob. You did an excellent job, and the point i mentioned earlier, is probably just an artistic touch of yours.

Hey Rob! Loved the vocals, once again, even though not my cup of tea when talking about this genre of music. Having said that, I can point a pitch issue that really bothered my ears. This is not dissing, just an honest opinion. At 6:11 point, that note doesn't sound like it fits, but when it comes to art, anything goes. Up until the guitar solo, it was spot on no doubt! (again my honest opinion) All in all very nice production!

Hey Coffeejon, The problem with your recording is that the vocals are so low compared to the music. Very difficult to hear what you are singing. I do hear some pitchyness but cant confirm unless the vocals are higher in volume. From what I can hear, it sounds like you have a nice tone to your voice, and that it is a bit pitchy. Hey Nico, Love this song. Went straight away to listen. You have MJ's vibrato. That is nice! Nice tone as well! In the first phrase, you in "you and I" it sounds like "Shoo". Also, not finishing the phrases. "Make a pact" you say "make a pac". A little pitchy at times, especially at the "there" at the end. If you fix those issues, I think it will sound awesome!

Hey Freakyale, Take all this with a grain of salt as I am no professional. In my honest opinion, I think your tone has huge potential. However you would require to undergo vocal training. There are some parts that you are not on the beat, also it Seems you take breaths not in the correct places. I think you have support issues as well. If you dont have a program, I recommend Robert Lunte's 4 pillars program. It can get you results, and they will appear quickly if you put in the effort and dedication. Must emphasize that this requires intense dedication. Approximately an hour of training 5 days a week at a minimum. Best of luck!
