Turn Around - Conor Maynard (Feedback Needed)
W772 replied to W772's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Thank you so much for the above replies. Appreciate it I agree that there needed to be a bit more breath support - might have been the cause for a few pitch issues.Regardless, it's interesting to hear that my voice suits pop better - I'll take that comment on board. If anyone else has anything else to add, feel free to share. -

Rise Against - Swing Life Away

Hey there, I just listened to your clip! To me, your tone sounds pretty nice. However, the thing that could be improved the most is your breathing. For some of the notes, it sounded flat pitchwise and I think the reason (based on my own experiences) is because your not supporting your notes. What I mean is, when you sing some of the notes, it sounds like you're singing from shallow breaths. Instead, your breaths should come deep from your diaphragm. To support the note, there should be a bit of a 'firm but flexible' push from your abdominal muscles. If you do this, your notes should sound more on pitch based on my own experiences. But yeah, have a google on "breathing from the diaphragm for singing". However, let's see what other people say - again, this is all my own opinion. I hope you can improve -

Hey, I agree with some of the comments above about some of the notes being a bit sharp. You have a nice tone (for sure) but the only thing that you can be even better at is pitch - if you can address that, your track would be perfect -
Hey everyone, Just wondering if you guys could critique the following acapella clips of mine (1) Ariana Grande - Love Me Harder: '> (2) NSYNC - This I Promise You*: '> * My female friend also sings on this - it'd be awesome if you can give her some feedback as well Thanks, I appreciate you response!

All I Want For Christmas is You (Acapella Snippet)
W772 replied to W772's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Hey, thanks for the feedback - really appreciate it. To be honest, I'm not sure what voice type I am but it's interesting to hear you say that I'm a "lyric tenor" - I'll definitely look into that more. And yeah, I agree with bringing more depth/warmth into my tone - it might be just slightly lacking that at the beginning of the song. Anyway, just out of curiosity, do you know any singers out there who I sound similar to? I suppose I've always been curious to know who I sound like and what kind of genre would best suit the voice I have. Btw, this is also open to any forum member who wants to give their thoughts/opinions -
Hey, I'm not a really a vocal expert and am not that great at singing myself. However, I think you have a naturally nice voice If there's any feedback to be given, I think your voice could have been slightly more smoother in the chorus but maybe that's due to a bit of nerves? But overall, I think you have a nice voice and that you should cover more songs

Hey Guys, Just thought I'd get some feedback on my acapella singing, just to identify the areas in which I need to improve. Personally, I think there may be a few pitch issues and vocally it could be a lot stronger. However, I was curious to know what other people thought. Anyway, I appreciate your feedback and Merry Christmas! Link: >

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it because it's hard to tell how you're tracking by yourself without another person's viewpoint. I'll try to focus more on using my diaphragm in future clips. Thanks again!

#Beautiful - Mariah Carey (Acapella Cover)
W772 replied to W772's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Hey there! You make a really good point. Mariah doesn't sing that part, it's Miguel. I think they blurted out the profanity - there's an edited and an explicit version on Youtube. Btw, thanks for alerting me on the profanity stuff. I'm not the type to use profanity openly, I just loved the song so much that I didn't want to add any editing that would mess up the song lol. But anyway, I appreciate the feedback. I've never really asked others for feedback so it's quite new for me to be posting on Youtube etc :) -

Thanks for taking the time to critique me! I appreciate your feedback! Yeah, I do tend to run out of breath sometimes. Personally, I feel there were some 'ever so slightly' pitchy parts but that's alright - no one is perfect lol. I also feel a lot more comfortable singing in my mid-register so the next step for me would be to sing in a higher register (mixed voice/belting). For any people out there, feel free to add your comments (or what you'd like to hear more of etc) :)
