ronws
Thanks, M. And thanks, Justin. I think you are right. "Might" felt a bit improved. I had not worked it out much. I almost started this with a line from MDEW. "Take number 1034 .... and a half." So, basically, this is the 4th take but I call it the second version because the first was with the condenser mic and that sounded like crap. The second was with the Sennheiser, which produced better results. And I think you are spot on in your analysis and it gives me something to work on. MDEW
I looked up Glenn Hughes on youtube to see if I can hear similarities in your voices. The resemblance is there. Glenn puts grit or distortion in his voice but the underlying tone is close to yours.
Gina Ellen Vocalist
love the dynamics in this Ron. great job
ronws
Thanks, M. I notice a similarity in type of voice between myself and Glenn Hughes. The difference, I think, is that his vowels a little more splatty, like older american blues and soul singers. Whereas I tend to be a bit more clean and european. And thank you, Gina. I used to sing this song a lot but it had been a while and I wanted to revisit it.
MDEW
I heard "Helpless" on the radio earlier and it Reminded me of you. Have you done any of Neil Young's songs? I bet you could nail them.

ronws
I'm thinking the Type O Negative cover of Cinnamon Girl...lol. Now, that would be cool. Good one, bro. You've still got it, after all these years. The only one who can keep up with on a quick turn of wit.
Validar
Cool. It's always good to hear just guitar and vocals. I'm thinking the Type O Negative cover of Cinnamon Girl...lol. Those guys knew how to cover a song and make it completely their own. Their cover of Sabbath's "Paranoid" would almost make you think you were listening to a 45 on vinyl playing at 33 1/3 rpm, but it was very cool. Chavie
Damn... quite a display of range on this!! You're hitting some nice lows on this. i'm hearing like at least A2 to C5 !!!
ronws
Interesting, Chavie. It didn't feel like an A2 but if you ran it through an analyzer, I believe you. And you might have better pitch perception than I do. Doesn't matter, really, thank you for the compliment. It means a lot coming from you, as I have always admired your voice.
