I don't know enough to say whether you have good technique or not, but I don't care. I like it. That is the way I would like to sound if had my choice. Let others go for the high screaming and the Low growly Evil wizard sounds.

As far as the voice goes it sounds awesome to me.

Just goes to show you that there is more than one way to approach a song and have it still sound awesome.

I could listen to both of these and never have to compare them to Elton or each other.
