It sounded like your were trying to channel Leon Redbone in this. I love Redbone as much as I love Cat Stevens but it just did not fit for this song. I could not understand any of the words and the grit along with the slurred words do not work together. Your voice itself does not sound bad. When I listened to your song there were two other songs by Gabriel Kelley. Were you singing on either of those? Without the grit you sound similer to the guy singing. I have been given the advice to keep to comments on tone and pitch in the review section but I also have problems with tone and style and when something does not CLICK I would rather have someone tell me about it.
