  1. I also think it sounds great, but i know what you mean. The thing is you've gotta sell the highnotes more, now the focus and the power is on the C5 and D5 thats cool but when you have a g5 in there make sure the G5 is the most powerfull and coolest note.

To be fully connected is alot for a voice like yours to manage that power you use in the middle. If you go fullout chesty on the C5's and D5's it will be extremly hard to have higher notes sound connected

  2. Well you are going for that Jornlande/russel allen/ Dio sound on the C5's and D5's and thats awesome, but it's a soundcolor that you dont really pull up onto the G5. Atleast ive never heard anyone do it not dio/Jorn/russel atleast.

People who do have one big voice up into G5 lighten that color you did on the C5's and D5's abit and bring in the power slightly higher. Then it will sound like one big voice.

  3. Okay, I feel somewhat obligated to reply here. It's not true that you cannot find what someone's voice type is at the age of sixteen, it is true that the voice hasn't fully developed yet, though.

Anyways. It would be more helpful if you sang more classical type songs, where you sang in your head voice which is how you would pick out someone's voice type. The range you listed and the way you sing I want to say you sound like a mezzo soprano. You can go slightly higher in your headvoice but your higher notes aren't strong enough in a prominent way to classify you as a soprano (which I am). Typically going from lower to higher my lows are airy and my highs are strong and loud. A sopranos range is also higher, trained or not. Technique also plays a large part of range, so people can have and usually have a wider range when singing properly. Also, if your voice teacher didn't know your voice type they were not a good voice teacher...don't go back to them. Another thing, singing improperly can give a false sense of voice type.

I completly disagree with this post.

Classifying young singers is stupid because.

    1. the voice hasnt matured

    2. the technique is usually not in place

    3. if you look at professional operasingers it's very common to change vocal fach or getting put to early in a fach. (read discover your voice by oren.l brown)

"A sopranos range is also higher, trained or not"

Nope thats not true as range is very individual and has alot to do with training and how strong the singers voice is.

This is very evident in young singers voices, some have strong voices and they usually can sing higher than their friends.

for instance it's not uncommon for a bass/baritone to be able to sing higher than tenors at young age or a mezzo sing higher than a soprano.

  4. JENS I LOVED THAT ONE!!! :) One of my favorite songs of all time and it totally rocked. If I have any critique it would be to lighten the sound colour just a tad bit in the verses. But you can sing it however the hell you want :) Cheers. Btw. don't you find it a bit hard to be a singer in a band that has many long guitar solos? Fortunately I'm now in a band where I do the long guitar solos myself :) . Btw. I thought that your vocals were excellent and that you're one of the strongest members in the band actually.

I hope be able to cover this song with my band soon (and play both solos in the song, on my guitar, lol).

Haha well i was in a progressive metal band wich had 15 minute songs and perhaps 4 minutes was vocalised, so this is a breeze! Also thanks for the compliments, warms my heart ;)

Btw if you pull off the vocals and the solos of this il marry you lol

  5. Not exactly. There is a bit misconception of the internet when it comes to imitations. Through experience I have learned to focus not on embellishing covers with things not found in the original, but to focus entirely, mentally, and physically on imitating that specific sound. It is produced a certain way, and the only reason to do a cover (unless performing it) is to learn how it is done.

On the radio in the U.S. country music has a very large audience, and is one of the most popular genres.

Loved this I just wish I could phrase myself aswell kudos!
