DO NOT DRINK COLD WATER AND THEN PRACTICE "RASP" OR VOCAL DISTORTION... DO NOT!
THAT IS VERY, VERY DANGEROUS AND YOU COULD HURT YOUR VOICE.  THAT IS A REALLY BAD IDEA.
COLD FLUIDS MAKE THE MUSCLES, ETC... STIFF AND NOT ABLE TO FLEX AND BEND AS THEY NEED TO.
THE SINGING VOICE NEEDS TO BE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE OR WARM BEFORE YOU SING AND TRAIN.
THE ONLY VOCAL INJURY I EVER HAD WAS DUE TO THIS EXACT ISSUE... I WAS SINGING HIGH SCREAMS AND THEN DRANK SOME COLD FLUIDS AND MY VOICE "POPPED"... AND FOR ABOUT FOUR MONTHS, I COULDN'T DO SHIT IN MY HEAD VOICE... I FULLY HEALED, BUT DRINKING COLD FLUIDS WHEN YOU ARE SINGING AGGRESSIVELY IS A NO-NO.

Good effort on "She's Gone." Wise decision to start out clean. You have the notes in the right place.

The original singer has a bit more rasp, normally an advanced technique, unless he already had a raspy voice.

    Hmm?
Do you understand the videos regarding the vowel and consonant modifications?
The consonant modifications are basically, "soften" the plosive consonants: /b/,/p/,/t/,/g/,/k/,etc..
The vowel modification is more complex, but start by understanding the Acoustic Modes... learn and understand the acoustic modes FIRST, so you understand the nature of the singing vowels... THEN... begin working with the "Resonant Vowel Modification Formulas" in the back of the book. These formulas are to help you bridge the vocal break.
Please consider taking at least 3 skype lessons with me if you can, and I can explain the whole thing to you...

YES, I love "Nocturne" as well... I really do.. it is so beautiful. When you love your OWN song that much, it must be special I think... I am actually heading out to the studio right now at this moment to punch in a few more parts on that song... I will finish it 100% today...

As far as i can see comparing you to some other begginer singers i heard, this is a start of a good head voice.First it sounds a bit funny like this, but its kinda full and not really a breathy falsetto.

So i think this sound can be streghtened over time and become a fullblown singing voice for you to use.

Bass can sing high and not sound strained. Some say Axl Rose is a Bass actually, but i guess he isnt the best example of singing high and not sounding strained. But you get my drift.

Singing high isnt the privilege of tenors, its a privilege that only those ppl who take their time and train can have.

Just a friendly advice, Get 4 pillars of singing and start working bro. Robert Lunte (the owner of forum and pillars) is always here to help you with the course.

singing high has nothing to do with voice fach.  it is a skill that needs to be learned.  It is not like tenors can sing high notes just because they happen to be tenors.  They have to train hard too..

Voice fach is only reflective of the timbre of the singer in a specific range and is not at all indicative of the range a person can sing.
