Hey Guys, heres another new track thats still at the demo stages.

Any tips on structure, performance, lyrics absolutely anything good or bad is welcome as usual.

Thanks in advance

P.S. its not vocal related but I stuck in a guitar solo in this track. I like my take but not sure if it serves the song that well. let me know what you think.

Excellent song but screwed-up mix. The voice is buried. I don't mean that the voice has to be loudest of all but I would say back off the guitar levels just a little, at least during the vocals. Absolutely killer vibe and this song should be on the radio. But I want to hear your voice.

The trick I've learned, for a one-step solution, unless you have time to remix the whole thing, is notch down the guitar tracks at 2 kHz with about .5 kHz above and below. As in, drop those levels to near zero on the guitar tracks. This will make space for your voice. Unless you are singing against the music as one track. Tougher mixing that. I know, for I have screwed up a few times trying to notch a karoake track.

This song sounds a little darker than the others I've heard of yours, I like it. And I agree with ronws, I could hear this on the radio.

doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. -Albert Einstein's definition of insanity.

Really like this, it's just my style of music!!

It's very like Down, raw and aggressive just like a punch in the gut.

The geetars do sound very strong in the upper mids, your voice is definitely competing for space as a result.

The vocal performance is easily good enough to be a bit more forward, though in this musical genre that's different because everything is supposed to be louder than everything else!! :)

Another trick might be to side chain the vocal to the guitars with a compressor to drop them by 2/3dB while the vocal is in.

Notching out some upper mids from the guitar is also a good suggestion but you might loose some of the aggressive feel as it will be notched all the time.

@ronws, Thanks for the tips and kind words....mixing is something i'm so poor at i cant never seem to get it right. its such a puzzle especially just after you have recorded all the parts too i think i get a bit too close to the song to be able to actually hear it if you get my meaning.

Thanks again! @livvy614

@sound26 to mention that this is even a ball hair as much like Down is an Honour......ill try these tips u gave me on the production but as u said its so hard to mix music like this...i really need someone who knows how to keep that vibe and pay them to do it.

This is fabulous! I love it!!! I really like the groove and rawness. Your guitar playing is excellent - love the solo. The rhythm guitar part could use a little tonal sculpting to help the mix. It is getting into the bass guitar territory a little bit and the bass is getting lost. You could try this: Rythm guitar - boosting at 5k and 12k, reducing 300hz and low pass at about 100. Bass - boost 2.5k heavily with a narrow band to hear the clack. This should help the guitar become even more clear and help the balance letting the bass and vocals breath a little bit. (I'm not an expert so take this with a grain of salt!). You might try doubling up on the rythm guitar part and panning left and right - it is a cool guitar part.

Oh - and the vocals are perfect for the song. Great job.
