Sound26
Hi guys, I'm still working away on my singing technique. I've been trying to have more fun with it lately. I couldn't find any ocean sound effects but I did try a Beatles style three part harmony for the chorus. Any comments or suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10813900/Yellow%20Submarine.mp3
ronws
I liked it, Sound. I like Beatles' music, too. And I liked the balance of voice against the guitar. Neither one was overpowering. And I liked the country feel to the strumming of the guitar. This was a little less "marching band" than the original, so, good for you for a slightly different feel on the same meter. The only thing I might suggest is that just a few times, I could hear dipthongs, where the vowel sound changed during a note. For example, in some places people say sound as "say-ound," which belies an accent. So, aesthetically, I might prefer "sah-uond" but then, again, "say-ound" probably fits better with a country music feel. I don't know if that was your intention but it certainly fits the genre. So, no, not a technical problem with this. Just something to keep an eye if you decide to do it in a different genre, some day, like grinding heavy metal or beat heavy r & b.
