It's Not Over Cover (Secondhand Serenade)
Vocalist Dad replied to RHan's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
It is that emotion that writes the best love and breakup songs. Don't worry about feeling to emotional, you kept it in check in order to perform this song. :) -
My first original song
Vocalist Dad replied to Enander's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Enander, I am not sure if I know much about the genre you wrote this for but my hat is off to the work you have done. Your note selection for vocals in the song is very nice and I still caught a hint of Metal at the end  Keep up the good work. Steve -
Snejk, I just wanted to drop you a note about this great song you and the band pulled off. First, the production is very professional and I think your vocals are great. I really have been wondering about the status of the band and their lead singer. Did anything ever come of your concern? I really don’t know the history of the band as to how they formed or when you arrived in the picture. When you all write music, what part do you play in the creative process? Are you writing lyrics together, are you coming up with melodies together, did all of this exist before your arrival and you are just singing what the band already created? I ask this because as good as the musicians are in your band; there are other bands with equally gifted musicians that are dying to find a singer of your ability to finish out their band. I know you do not want to leave something that has the potential of Archania but if it happens, I know the band that finds you will be very grateful. It is obvious that this is your calling and I know there may be set backs along the way but I know you will persevere. I am a big believer in things happen for a reason. Steve

iRockers Crew [feat. Igor Zotov]
Vocalist Dad replied to Jugulator's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Igor, who is the good looking dude in the video with no ball cap on? He sounds familiar but I don't recognize him. Just like Snejk, you all are putting out a great product. It is very exciting to hear and see you young bloods working your butts off and putting your craft to work. Keep it up. Steve -
Our first studio effort is here!!!
Vocalist Dad replied to Snejk's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Snejk, good stuff, the band sounds great, the vocals sound great and I really like your note choices for the melody. I think you all are really getting a feel for who Archania is. Congratulations on a great product. Keep working hard, it will pay off someday. -

"How to make your neighbours hate you"
Vocalist Dad replied to Enander's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Enander, I really dug it. I really like the fact that when you are singing you are really putting it all out there. Sometimes you just got to say, the heck with it, I'm doing this and go for it. Keep it up and buy your neigbors some cookies and teach them to love rock. Steve -
KTVA contest video - please Like it!
Vocalist Dad replied to Keith's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Hey Keith, nice job. I see in the video, no bass. Have you ditched the bass and moved up to the front where you belong? I am not familiar with the KTVA contest so I don't know where the link is to vote. Steve -
I think with any new band, there is a time needed to develop and figure out what is your sound and style. I know that this first album has a really wide spectrum of styles. They have many influences but as the band matures and becomes its own entity, you start to see, hear and feel what it is they are becoming. It has been quite fascinating. This first album has 11 songs over a year period, from just meeting and jamming to trying to write ones material. They have since written 6 new songs while finishing up this project. The 6 new songs seem to have a more consistent theme. They are figuring out what kind of band they are. So much of what a band becomes is due to the abilities in the band. I'm sure many here will understand what I mean. It is quite different to write music and come up with your own lyrics and then create a melody. Note selection is as individualistic as to the artist creating it. I believe that is why when I hear someone posting an original on this forum; I really enjoy the peak inside their creative minds. Thanks for the continued sharing. I really appreciate and enjoy it and admire the courage to put it out there for us to hear. Steve

Hey gang, I just wanted to share a little original song the boys have been working on in the studio. They have 5 of 11 songs mastered and will finish the last 6 tonight and tomorrow. Overall I think they are happy with what they have created. It is a very new process for them but they are learning a ton. I know some have heard this one before but this is what it will sound like on the album. If someone could reply to the link working I would appreciate it. Thanks, Steve http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=12302429&q=hi

My higher quality recordings
Vocalist Dad replied to Jugulator's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Igor, love the grit in your voice starting at the 1:00 mark and again at 2:30, some real attititude. Sure sounds like your illness is behind you. Great Job. Don't forget to share some of those great originals you have been working on. :) -

Singing with my band
Vocalist Dad replied to forest_gimp's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
I like it, your voice has a little Jon Anderson (Yes) feel to me. Keep up the great work. Steve -
Scott, Congratulations on your accomplishment of finishing and releasing your new album. That is something many artists strive to do and you have done it. It is interesting to see and hear the family resemblance between you and your brother. Although you have different approaches and styles to your music, you can still hear the Stone signature sound. I very much enjoyed all of the tasty samples of music. It is amazing you were able to do all of this on your own with a little help from the Mrs. You and Ron have been a wealth of info for those of us trying to understand the biz. Hopefully someday when things slow down a little bit, you can document how you did all of this. I am particularly interested in the CD Baby connection because of distribution and the best way to make larger quantities of CD’s. Keep up the good work and best of luck with the album. Steve

I've got competition from my son
Vocalist Dad replied to napoleonboot's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
George, your son did a beautiful job. I know at 13 he is still growing into a fairly new voice. Watch out when he is really comfortable with his voice. He has a great ear and wonderful pitch. If he is around you, I know there very likely is some kick butt rock in his future. I know the two of you are going to have a great time with him having a passion and talent for singing. Steve -
Chavie, great job, love that song. Steve
