I've got competition from my son

My son Andrew is aged 13. Here he is singing "Stars" from Les Miserables.

His school just did Les Miserables as a musical. http://www.scarboroughcollege.co.uk/2013/02/what-theyre-saying-about-les-miserables Andrew was the Javert understudy, and sang the part in 1 of the 3 performances, to much acclaim!

Here's one he's only recently started working on, and so is still very much a work-in-progress, from Phantom Of The Opera, "Wishing You Were Were Somehow Here"

His voice is deeper than mine, and he can do better vibrato. These were both recorded in one take. He makes me proud :)

That is amazing. Indeed, you must be proud.

As I am of my brother, slstone (see his thread in this section.)

I can see the Williams' family is a blessing to us all. So, what does he think about Dad's penchant for that hard-rockin' music? :D

And good luck to both of you.

Yes he is 13, although he's big for his age.

For example, his shoes are UK size 13 (USA size 14, Europe size 48.5)!

I wear size 13 W(ide), american in a work boot, 14 in a runner. So, your son and I could make money the same way. Rent our shoes out as trick water skis.

I am hoping he will become rich and famous and keep me in my old age.

:) Are you helping to teach him? Maybe he will let you sit in on some of his lessons. :P

Just messin' with you George. You should be proud of him. Don't forget to be proud of yourself also. You do a great job.

George, your son did a beautiful job. I know at 13 he is still growing into a fairly new voice. Watch out when he is really comfortable with his voice. He has a great ear and wonderful pitch. If he is around you, I know there very likely is some kick butt rock in his future. :D I know the two of you are going to have a great time with him having a passion and talent for singing.

I wonder if my account has been hacked. The reply from ftgDWE is what I wrote. How did that happen? Seriously.

How many here would have thought to use "penchant" in a sentence?

Weird.
