Revolution calling... revolution calling... revolution calling you....YEAH
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted April 4, 2015 TMV World Legacy Member Posted April 4, 2015 It was better than I expected. The other songs you sang were "softer" in nature. You could probably work up a good cover of this, if you wanted to. 1

TMV World Legacy Member Jugulator Posted April 4, 2015 TMV World Legacy Member Posted April 4, 2015 Hey, Pekka! Definitely, you don't sound like a young boy at all. I can hear a good mix of young Paul Stanley and Ozzy Osbourne. Just one recommendation to you is breath management, because you tend to push a bit too much. 1 http://www.youtube.com/user/IgorJugulatorZotov

Thanks yes breathing is one of my problems and that i wan´t to improve because i have to push it to sound like that. Generally i got lot´s of work with my singing and these kind of comment help me a lot... thanks
TMV World Legacy Member Pekka Posted April 5, 2015 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted April 5, 2015 Pekka Your current style of singing is indeed more suited to harder stuff. Listen to Jugulator. I'm not an expert, so take my advice with a grain of salt, - but in general the more intensely you sing, the more you should be regulating your breath. To put it more clearly, you should be limiting the amount of air you are expelling. Have a look at this video and take from it what you will. I just hope Dan Formica does not get 'wind' of this thread, pun intended :-) Darius, if you see this, what do you think of this fellow's ideas on classical singing? Many thanks Maybe in the near future i try to sing some harder stuff..and that video i almost pass out trying to inhale and sing at the same time
TMV World Legacy Member Pekka Posted April 5, 2015 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted April 5, 2015 Let's not have you die on Easter Sunday, Pekka! Experiment with it - for me its more of a feeling of inhalation than literal inhalation. Maybe there are those who literally inhale while singing. Wind players use circular breathing, so it certainly is possible to do. I hope others more knowledgeable will chime in as well. I´m here, not dead yet
TMV World Legacy Member carp Posted April 5, 2015 TMV World Legacy Member Posted April 5, 2015 I like it, a good effort! I'm 50 and I really have the choirboy thing going. Just today I've started working in something that calls for some grit, and I don't have it!

Maybe try experimenting with breath support and different things to change your sound (twang,, switching between resonators) and see what happens. 1 "Quitters Never Win"

I might be the wrong person to say this because I'm kinda reckless I guess, but try to put some aggression to it. Sisu! Scream it like you mean it! I don't think I'm way off when I think you're a bit afraid to feel sore or ruin your voice, but go for it; if it hurts... well, your voice will heal. Just don't do it too often, but you should definitely try and just go all out. BUT(!), if this is at the very end of your range it is really hard, and I'd say that it's not worth the risk; lower the key and then try instead
