I like the "Tom Jones" tune. You have a nice voice. But here is the point... do not think of yourself as a vocalist of one genre. Just see your self as a vocalist. Someone that is capable of singing many genre's, styles and feels. I suppose Im a metal singer myself at heart, its what inspired me when I was younger and still does. I find it the most challenging singing available and I still get pleasure out of the energy that metal and rock can offer... however, I have sang Italian, German and English art songs and currently in my gig bag I have "My Kind of Town" by Sinatra, "Please Come To Boston" by Kenny Loggins, "Sunshine on My Shoulders" by John Denver and on... be in the moment, sing what you want to sing, embrace the idea of hearing your voice in a completely new context and try new things.
Sounds to me like your on a good path.
