  1. Thanks Ron!   I just listened to the Foo Fighters song you mentionned. Thats some heavy vocals! I Wonder if i can scream like, i will try
  2. You got definitely more of the Brian Johnson vibe on the high parts, like a good scratchy falsetto.   I think songs like Thunderstruck would fit more your voice tone.   Thus said it wasn't bad at all. Would like to hear you on Hell Bells or something more Brianesque
  3. Thanks guys for listening and showing up!   Yes, i worked my voice and mixing toward the cong progression and dynamics (starting from a single vocal line into doubling the vocal tracks on the last chorus) and even if the technique isn't perfect, my aim was to capture the mood of the song.   I am going to post more songs soon!
  4. Normally not my kind of songs but you got a lot of emotion in there. That was pretty good! Good job with the wovel choice on the higher parts. You can still gain more freedom on these notes though.   What mic did you use, just curious? Your voice was really colourful, even on the quiet parts
  5. Hey Rob,   Cool to hear you in another genre. I like the melow and ringy quality you have on your lower range. Wish i had these baritone notes sometimes!
  6. Chris,   I am really impressed as well. On the rap part, your phrasing and rythm is perfect, and on the Chester part, i really like how you keep it raw (not too much grit and processing) and just let your voice shine.   More!
  7. Hey guys,   I posted an attempt at Deep Purple not so long ago. I pretty much screwed part of it and the very same day, my doctor diagnosed me a sinusitis (wasn't caused by singing but i think cold and allergies mostly), so i ended up resting my voice for three weeks.   I started singing again three weeks ago and it feels like having a brand new voice!   Let me know what you think about this cover :   https://app.box.com/s/szcx46bc288yo11v9451kg7oq6ozskwy   Edit : new link, seems the old one did not work...
  8. It was killer man, even with the crappy quality cell phone quality! I have also sung this song, and its a hard one.   Isn't your version one half tone higher than the original?
  9. Thanks a lot for the feedback guys.   This song is particularly difficult for me because of all that staccato that i think makes me slam on the words too harshly. It doesn't tire me as much as it would hamper me from doing the song whole, but there is definitely a healthier way to do it.   I will work on it more lightly and see where it goes!
  10. I just recorded that today :   https://app.box.com/s/80msl21e3hol65onbq3k   If you guys like it, i gonna post the full version soon, but as a Deep Purple, expect some big solos between vocal lines ;-)
