Robert thank you again for your comments, I get what you say about needing to find that confidence.
KillerKu thank you for the great feedback and specific advice. I am beginning to see that the voice really is an instrument which needs to be learned and practices with no simple short cuts. I am trying the tip you suggested but I have a bit of a sore throat at the moment so will wait to recover from that and use that time to look into my options.

Great job Ellise! I get more nervous singing in front of family and friends than I do to a room full of strangers haha, you got courage and a fantastic voice. I am sure your family is very proud of your singing.

Alright, here it is. I'm not the best at recording/mixing guitar given no actual legit setup, but I tried. I recorded the guitar tracks and the vocals separately.

You and your friend are just playing around and you want a serious review? For playing around....not to bad.... it shows that you have the range.....the sound will get better in time.
I could not hear well enough to know if you were on pitch. I could tell you were close enough for playing around with it.

Hey guys! I just now did a cover of Do I Wanna Know. Kind of out of my element, but I have known about this band and have heard this song a while back but never really paid attention to it. But I have been listening to this song this past week and I have fallen in love with it. The riff of the song is my favorite, of course along with Alex Turners crazy good voice. I go from f#2 up to f#5 then a slight squeaky whistle at f#6. I thought it sounded really cool so im sharing it on the forum.

i have found that if i do a little bit of the "its the la" exersize from ken before i start the tvs resonet tracking it helps me to buzz better and eliminate choking. After i finish the resonet tracking exercises I do them again, then again, then again and again and again until i feel flexible and free. I then go onto sirens first i just do 5ths the i move on to the full octave, i do this until the passagio is smooth. After that I do some contract and release onsets and attack and release onsets. then i start singing easy songs and work my way up to harder stuff. thats my typical routine
 
btw I find it really anoying that I cant use spell check on this forum like i could on the previous one, its pretty obvious i need it ha ha. whenever I right click to get the word I ment to spell it just pops up a thing that says paste.....
