What? All this grief. Well, go ahead and call me an uncultured redneck. I thought it was just fine. Then, again, I don't have a need to prove myself to be an expert. I am just a guy who spends hard-earned money on good music. And I would buy this.

And I live in a small town where people would love it if someone could sing this as well as you did, bono, in their church. No, I don't go to church but I appreciate a well done performance. Then, again, what do I know? I prefer Bon Scott to Brian Johnson with no offense meant to Brian.

Thank you for your kind words Rob.  I am happy to tell you that the Pillars is my first attempt at taking formal training for singing.  I have always sung based on my instincts and having spent a lot of time in these forums over the last year, I made the long pending leap to buy the pillars.  My experience has been very very good.  I am still familiarizing myself with the terms.  For e.g. I don't know what a "twang compression" means in your comment, but I guess since it sounds like it, I must be doing something correctly.  That was my motivation to buy the Pillars.. To learn the actual science that goes behind vocal production and I must honestly say that even with the limited time that I have been able to spend over the last week, it has been money put to very good use.  I have started the workouts(generally do them in the car during my drive to work), and I fully don't understand how it will actually help with specific spots while singing songs.  But it helps a great deal from a mental standpoint.. For e.g. when I go wrong in a particular place, I am obliged to think that it is likely an onset issue, so perhaps I could try a different onset.. You understand what I mean!   I am sure you have heard it many times before, but I will say it again.  Fabulous work on putting a training program like Pillars and kudos to you for getting this exceptional forum to connect singers across the world..

I just got a chance to listen to this. I thought it sounded good in several spots. It's got a lot of strong twang compression and your internation is ok. I think.Felipe has a good point, the vowels could stand to be more articulate as well as the consonants so it's more clear as to what you're saying, but in my view overall sounds pretty cool.

I hope you're work with pillars is helping you. If
You have any questions regarding your Tvs training, feel free to shoot me an email.

    Hello!
I'm quite new here so I hope you won't be cruel. We (me and my friend) would like to hear some opinions about our cover of "Big Jet Plane" song, originally played by Angus & Julia Stone. I hope you enjoy it
And we appreciate all the criticizm & motivating words from all of You (dear vocalist community)

Tim, nice work on this song... good job posting it here... lets see what the community has to say. I think its a good effort considering you have been training with me for about 6 months or so...

Glad your enjoying the forum as well.

This post is for your benefit... so folks, give feedback for Tim if you can.

However, I did do a quick, impromptu iPhone version of this about a year or so ago, actually in response to another discussion on this forum... a may as well share the fox hole with my student... here is my quick, low production version of this.
