Denis Gallén Iserte reacted to Gneetapp in Have you really loved a woman(Bryan Adams)
Hi Aravind, I thought it sounded good throughout the song. But I have to agree with Denis regarding the Bridge, where I feel you changed the mood you set in the rest of the song, by going, perhaps, to strong, almost hard Rock/Heavy Metal style. Overall, I liked it. Also, I think you did an awesome job dialing down the "cartoonish voice", almost eliminating it completely. Keep them coming friend!

I think it is a product of your accent more than anything, That does not mean it is bad. I like to hear natural accents. But if you want to straighten it out a little sing a little closer to the Ah vowel instead of the i vowel. Just a little bit, too much and you get into other problems.

I can do relaxed head voice. Personally I don't mind a bit of "forced" tonality, especially in Western music, somehow, I feel that a little bit of imperfection conveys the human side. Also, with my relaxed head voice, it may have a larger tonality gap, from the rest of the song. This is a balance that I can never seem to successfully get. In a world where the feedback would be instantaneous, I could do what the composer wanted...
But these things I guess are very individual centric, in terms of what listeners prefer... Thank you for your feedback..

Pretty Cool Dennis, Good to see you again.
In the very beginning you were just a tad too twangy. Once you settled into the song it went away and you started sounding better and more relaxed. Otherwise it sounded pretty good to me.

I agree, you ´re out of pitch in most parts of the song, it´s like the backing track is in one pitch and you in other, you have to feel the pitch in the music or do the exercises. Just work on it.

Ok thanks guys! Yes, I am definitely out of pitch, that should be my main focus. I am kind of up and down like Killer said. Need to train my ears better.

Yeah, Pekka, your tone sounded better in this version. I also agree with Denis that some notes sound a little confined. Overall it sounded great. Good job, Pekka!

I Agree, this version is better. try to take your voice "outside" your mouth (to the face resonators), because in some notes it seems that the sound goes back to your larynx and it can cause your fatigue.

Excellent pitch and tonal quality to you voice! Beautiful voice. My one item of criticism would me at times it seemed like you were maybe tired and thus lacking some rock edge that would otherwise been there. Still was very cool. Huge Beatles fan here.

I liked your voice a lot! Very good sense of pitch and I like your tone.
As the others said, your voice lacks the power of the original interpretation, and this by itself is not bad, it's just a choice, but personally I like this song that way.
Now in the technical side, you tend to hammer the ending of phrases too much. Most of the phrases that end in a vowel you hammer them down ( siren downwards in pitch, men tend to do it more often than women I think ) and you distort the vowel to an EH. Like "Meeee-eh".
It CAN be used as a stylistic resource, but you do it so much and so often that it can become annoying to the listener.

Beautiful Voice as always. If you wanted to change this song into a sexy Ballad then you have accomplished that. If you meant to ROCK OUT on it, then you need to add a little attitude and get rid of the breathiness. Yell a little and maybe even practice being mean.(I would hate to see that)
I myself, like the breathy sexy thing.

Great cover! I liked your tone, but I have to agree with some of the guys. If you want to sound soul/RnB you need a different backing track, and if you want to sound rock, you need to add more edge and atitude. Very nice singing though!

I just did. What a fun song! I'm not sure who's singing this one, but there's a whole lotta rasp in his voice. Very cool.

Do yourself a favor and look up the original on Youtube. Denis did a fantastic job but you need to experience the Beatles singing this. Live, if you can find it.......
