  1. P E R F E C T singing and arrangement !
  2. It works fine here. Jon... my critique is that I have no critique... You sound every bit as good as any good pro singer out there - I love your approach here, it's just ... perfect ! Beautiful composition too, I'm really impressed.
  3. Same here, great singing, nothing to criticize. Your voice sounds really stable, sth I appreciate greatly in all singers. Great job once again buddy, keep it up ! Thanos
  4. Beautiful. I can't believe how good you sound - great tone all through the range, great job buddy. Loved the "ahs" in the end !
  5. I don't know the song so I can't say much but what I do know is you have a beautiful singing voice. You sound really great on this rock ballad and that is a feat for most singers.
  6. Ron, I can at last hear what you really sound like.. and I love your tone ! Not only do you sound better because of exercising but you have a great sounding voice ! There were some timing issues and a couple of pitch ones that I'm sure you know what they are. I loved your ending line, great melody ! Once again, a great sounding tenor voice - I'm shocked at the difference between this and the "old setup" recordings.
  7. One thing that always impresses me is how "stable" your voice sounds, no wavering etc No matter what the volume is you manage to maintain that. I wanted to ask you if this is a part of your sound that came naturally or if it's sth you improved through breathing etc
  8. Thanks Ron, it was good fun - although sloppy as hell lol! I'm honored Mike, you know... there's one thread of yours called "let's hear your head voice" or sth along those lines... That audio clip reminded me that I'd never sung a simple song in my life and there was a good reason I'd been avoiding it. Long story short, that was what inspired me to face my vocal problems and strive for a "true voice". So I should be thanking YOU for that. A rep point right back at ya !
  9. NAILED IT ! The song is hammered on the wall and it's not coming down lol! You got it Mike, that's what we were all expecting to hear from you !! This particular song is a feat, not some regular tune - I wouldn't change a thing in your performance, it's just brilliant !! I can hear a voice in the distance screaming ... it's the paaaaiiin..... the paiiiiinn .....
  10. Had to let some steam off man... 12 hours of work/day can drive you nuts and make you sing No Light, No Air, No Exit lol! Glad you had fun listening to it Mike and thanks so much for your comment, I know you can relate ! I might do this one properly when the time is right, for the time being I'm back doing my disciplined voice building schedule. If vacations don't come soon, I'll do a Morbid Angel cover, I swear lol!
  11. I thought I'd post this last one before I get back to my voice building schedule. Twango, support, rattlesnakes and not much else besides lots of fun. No pitch corrections, 2 takes. And no it didn't hurt. Just letting steam off... don't take it too seriously : http://www.box.net/shared/7dej2gsvkf
  12. I hear ya. I was watching a vid of his with paul gilbert on youtube performing I don't need no doctor the other day... my jaw dropped on the floor. A freak of nature in terms of voice... indescribable. Keep it up Mike !
  13. You'd sound great even if you tried not to. I won't mention any imperfections, as I know you know what they are I'm sure if you spend a bit more time with it you'll nail it completely... at least we know you're human lol Just don't stop posting songs - especially Priest ones Thanos
  14. An amazing voice and an incredible performance. Few women sound or dare to sound like this nowadays. What a shame.
  15. Twango brings us closer together lol Glad you had fun listening to it 'cause I really had fun recording it Thanks Ron
  16. Hey Chavie, I really like your voice, really good tone. Although I don't know most of the songs you covered in their original versions, I liked Simple Man the most, I think it really suits your vocal style. You've got great range and you convey emotion. One thing I noticed is that you approach songs in a softer way than the originals - not a bad thing but I kinda missed it on the priest song for example. A great voice overall, tons of potential, Thanos
  17. I wanted to comment but since I don't know them, I was thinking these might be the actual singers. Although I'm not familiar with how they sound I hear a very versatile and powerful voice - great work - great voice. Thanos
  18. This clip goes against all my voice training over the past months - except for support and twango. So, caution to the wind, recorded 2 takes , a bit of rev,dly and comp , no pitch tuners, no nothing, just me having fun, having a break from it all. Don't take it too seriously... http://www.box.net/shared/360jqlle3p
  19. Hi Ola, Your voice sounds brilliant on most parts. I agree with Ron about approaching the high parts with a lighter voice. Actually J.La Brie sounds really thin on these notes. One thing I think you should avoid is pushing your voice to get rasp, it will limit the rest of your voice. I used to do that for years and I'm still trying to avoid it as it has caused me nothing but trouble. Again, I like your tone very much and I'm confident that once you master those high parts you'll sound killer. Thanos PS. I'm struggling with these same issues.
  20. You know what I think of your singing. If there's one thing, I'd say that I liked the 1st version more (the chorus) because it sounded more "you" and unrestrained, like if you were paying too much attention on breath etc on the 2nd one. I guess for you, less is actually more Mike. That does not take away from both of these awesome performances, your abilities are unquestionable. More please! Thanos
  21. Ron, your warmups and effort are paying buddy, every aspect of your voice sounds improved, keep it up. It'd be nice if more singers realized that - a lot less mixes would be destroyed.
  22. Joshual your rasp sounds really good. Since it doesn't hurt you, you must be doing it correctly already. I read about your ulcer and how that might have affected your tone, there is a member called "Joanna" in this forum who is a specialist - it might be worth getting her advice.
  23. Jesus. That's what I was talking about when I said "A real singer".
  24. I like your voice very much - all of your range sounds smooth and very pleasant. I do hear some out of pitch notes but overall it's a very good performance. Well done, Thanos
