Hi guys !

This is me singing in the style of Michael Jackson the part of " Man in the mirror ". They told me that I sound so much like him so I decided to sing this song just like his style. I know it's not good to sing in an exactly the same style with anyone. Michael is my favourite and I respect all of what he devoted. But if it's just a try then I don't mind ;)

I hope you like my stuff and give me some comments, would you please ?

Thank you so very much guys !!!!

And this's the demo:

You do seem to have something in your voice that sounds like him.

You should check out The Weeknd, and especially his Dirty Diana cover. Your voice made me think of him, and for me he's like the new MJ ^^.

What kind of mic are you using to record?

Thanks Bashful . I tried to copy his vibration technique when singing this song. So I guess "something" that you said would be that technique, right ? ^^ !! I checked em and I especially like D Diana, sounds great.I'm using the mic on my headphone and recorded this by my PC so its quality was not very good ^^.

If you want to sing and let people hear it, maybe you should consider a usb microphone. You will be amazed about the quality (with some mastering). It wont be the same as a mic thats plugged into an audio interface but it will be a lot better then the one you are using now.

Check out my topic with some of my stuff in it. I use a Yeti mic from Blue which is pretty cheap. But I feel that I could use a better mic with an audio interface.

It takes time to acquire some things. A friend gave me for Christmas 2010, a Fame CM-1 studio condenser mic, stand, pop filter, cable, headphones, and a Guitarface II USB interface. Later, after saving several pennies, I was able to get ahold of a Sennheiser e835 dynamic mic.

But I still use Audacity on a very old computer with nothing more than the onboard sound capabilities.

Well it doesn't have to be the exact same mic that I have ^^. The best thing would be that you test out a couple of mics before you buy one, so you know which one goes with your voice. I think you'll need one that picks up more highs then lows. Just ask the sales guy to help you find the right mic! And there are cheap mics with good quality for a homestudio.

Ronws : Hey Ronws ! I like your slogan so much !! " Don't sing like anybody but yourself " ! ;) Damn right !

Thanks. That is a direct quote from Pat Benetar, a statement in her memoirs "Between a Heart and a Rock Place."

Another memorably quote.

"A voice is just muscle, tissue, and psyche."

Very nice man! It does have a high resemblance of MJ. In my opinion, slightly more bassy, but sounds awesome. You got the vibrato right on! Would love to hear you do "Ill be there" and "smile"

I love "I'll be there" and maybe I'll record that song ;) Anyway, you mean that I sound slightly more bassy than MJ ?
