What a beautiful song this is. Wow.

I liked how you interpreted it Rob, all the little nuances of your voice are strong selling points for me.

Someone did a King Diamond cover?  Now THAT is the most interesting cover idea I have heard in a long time. Very interesting... The master of Evil Prog. Falsetto!

Bro, that is frickin cool. LOL!  I can't believe someone tried to do this... its so... well, King Diamond and quirky.. but what an interesting challenge.  Hey, you did great... it sounds a lot like King Diamond... great job!  Where did you get the bed track for this? How did you get those spooky King Diamond harmonies?

I think a lot of people are not going to "get it"... the whole King Diamond "thing"... its a little strange.... its an aquarium taste. You have to be a bit twisted to even start listening to this stuff. King Diamond is the only metal singer was ever able to make Falsetto work for him and have people take him seriously.

One of my Favs... King Diamond singing in the band "Merciful Fate".  I love the groove on this tune...

I agree with Elvis. King's high stuff is always falsetto and you are singing full. And you said this was a cover, which qualifies. If it were a tribute recording, we would have to expect you to sound like King, which you don't. However, I do like your voice on this song and I like how you played the arrangement.

    Good stuff, keep doing it.

You should give some vocal lessons to the King,,,at least how to use his head voice instead of 5+ tracks of falsseto xD

    Hey all,

I always wanted to sing this one… so I made a proper cover for it.

Nice to see somebody covering some good ole Blackie Lawless. He never got much credit as a vocalist, either.

This is good. I'm not familiar with the original song, but I've come to like your style of aggressive vocals. There is a warmth to them lacking in a lot of metal genres.

At first it was too much and you felt distant, but I feel like you're getting a better balance now.

The singing overall is really well done. But as someone that favors soul over metal, some of that lower mid warmth in your voice really grabs my ears.

Awesome, Thanos. And it sounds a lot like the original. And Blackie used to get crap for being a good businessman. His mentor in that was none other than Gene Simmons. How would I know that? I read the history, as told by another, of WASP. Like him, hate him, the guy could write a song and take care of business.

There's this kind of booty shaking quality to this. I don't normally like this genre all that much either, but there is a rhythmic swagger that I find kind of amusing or upbeat.

The vocals are technically indistinguishable to my ear from other some in this genre so I think if it doesn't hurt you're succeeding, which is cool. I don't mean your voice isn't you, just that it would 'fit into this genre' without any red flags.

You are using Recabinet for a cabinet sim? I have version 3, and use it all the time, but I've never gotten this much of an authentic metal guitar sound from an amp sim. I'm going to look into your amp model, cause this has been irritating me. I don't play metal often, but my amp sims suck for palm muting and this sounds very chuggy.

Anyway, in spite of the 'not live instruments' and 'not original singer' when I compare this to the original version, I still kind of liked yours better. It's like almost disco or dance ish metal. It's a fun track, man. Thanks for posting.

Way cool, Thanos. I like how you programmed the drums. I recently got a Kat KTMP1. So, I am totally getting off the snare-bass kick machine gun sound you've got going on, later.

I've not been much into the different "core" metals but I like what you did here and I could easily hear it being satellite metal stations.

    Hi all,

I know there's isn't any clean singing involved here
but I managed to use a type of voice that would normally kill my voice a few years back.

    Hope you like it,
