I really like the emotion you have in your voice. I also agree with ConsumingFire that it doesn´t sound so healthy, but it sure sounds damn good for the most part. Sometimes you sound very close to Tony Harnell if you are familiair with him.

Hello, George, it was a good attempt. i know you said that this is not a karaoke version but it´s unavoidable to not compare it with Iron Maiden´s version. I think it starts off quite well. The pre-chorus i didn´t like that much, you sang it in a key a little different than Bruce so maybe that´s why. The chorus is good i think but i miss the attack and power that Bruce has, when you come to the "for" after the "run to the hills" you should attack more. Also, your vibrato needs some practise. It sounded quite good but the mix was a little lifeless and dull to me. So, that is what i would try to change, but anyway you did a very good job i think, it´s a very difficult song to pull off, i know, i have tried it myself.

Keith, yes ii noticed in your "Faithfully" cover that in the phrase "wheels go round and round...." in the beginning you did a very beautiful passagio and then after this you strained a little. I have no idea why. Where you tired when you sang these songs? Maybe your voice was tired due to alot of talking/shouting before singing these songs? Are you tensed when you sing high notes? Or maybe it´s just as simple as you need more practise singing in your passagio.

Hello, Oldpainless! This was awesome, you have a very nice "crying" sound, a great mix of chest and head . I also agree about the word "wisdom", it sounded a little strained and pushy and your "goaty" vibrato was a little disturbing. I hope to hear more from you in the future.

I certainly didn´t hate it . It sounded very good, i know you are working hard with your mix/ head voice - the highest notes, as you probably already know, still sounds a little weak.

Hello, Igor, thanx for your answer. My intention is not to sound exactly as Rob, only Rob can sound as Rob so i don´t try that. What i do try is to get a similair tone, a bright, twangy mixed voice, because i think it sounds cool.

I love it, Ron, you really are good with words and if you didn´t chose to be an electrician i think you would have been an excellent teacher. For your knowledge i sang it acapella. I always goes for music and songs i love and most often it happens to be songs with vocals that are very challenging. at least for me. I can´t sing songs that don´t evoke emotions with me. I think the worst thing you could do when you give critique is to be polite or misleading if for example you say "good job" or something like that when you honestly really think it sounded "crap". I could understand why some people do that, either it could be that you are afraid to insult the person or it could be that you afraid that the person you critique will be hard on you. That said , you could give constructive critique without sounding rude and that would also help the person you give a "negative" feedback in the long run as Felipe stated if there is some truth in it. I hope i have made myself clear that i want honest opinions of my singing. I, myself, is not an expert, i have never taken singing lessons, i just happen to be a big music fan and have singing as a hobby. I really like to listen to contributions here and give comments but i find it sometimes hard to explain technically what is going on so i usually don´t. But i am always honest and if i don´t like something i try to explain what it is i don´t like but usually i can´t give advice on HOW to improve it unfortunately. So, maybe my comments are not of much help but i like to support as much as i can so therefore i do it and hopefully i don´t confuse too many people here With this statement i hope everyone knows where i stand. Keith, i don´t do anything special IMO more than straining and shouting Me on the other hand, i wish i had your ability to sing on pitch. By the way, you don´t happen to have this song on a backing track, Keith?

I am a big Iron Maiden fan too and i must say that you did it justice. This rocked!

Hello, Martin, thanx for your answer. I don´t think you are wrong, my jaw wasn´t very relaxed, in fact, i think my whole body was tensed . I think this was a pretty sloppy piece of work, i didn´t do any research before concerning pitch and i didn´t listened very closely afterwards if it sounded similair, i just tried as you said, to replicate the sound. I think i will sing it again and do a more solid work if could find a pretty good sounding backing track.

I was fortunate to see Pink Floyd at their last world tour 94 and it was the best concert i have ever been to and this song is my favourite. You did it justice. I liked it alot.

Thanx for helping, Tommy. Well, i don´t know yet how to find this feature on my computer. I use a program called Reaper right now. Maybe i should switch my input source from my sound card to something called "What you hear". I never hear my voice live in my head phones just after i have stopped the recording and play it.

Great singing, Felipe, as always. I think you should work on your pronunciation more than your singing. You sang for example "foul in love" instead of "fall in love", but i am sure you know this. Production and singing as far as technique flawless.

Ok, Dj, i feel uncomfortable when i can´t hear my singing voice clearly but maybe it´s something i could get used too.

Ok, that was a good video, very good. Thanx, DjDeth. Too bad he doesn´t reach the high E though because that is very tricky. The D i could do in my sleep (a little exaggerated ) but to make the E sound chesty and unstrained is much more difficult. I can´t do it consistently. I can´t sing with my head phones on, it´s very disturbing for me, i try to listen to the phrase first and then tries to imitate it. Ok, i think i stated it wrong when i said that Ken Tamplin imitated Bruce. Maybe he didn´t want to sound exactly like Bruce, he just wanted to show how to sing like that i think, just like Kevin Richards. I prefer Kevin Richard´s video though but i don´t think he sounds like Bruce either, but i don´t think many can.

Weill, and i say it sounded a little like Tom Petty and a little like, hmmm, what´s his name now, eh, Neil Young, actually i think it sounded very much like Neil Young. That said, it sounded very good and very professional. This was a total joy to listen to. A great achievement.

Thanx for your answers, Igor, Ron and Guitargeorge. Igor, Guitargeorge: What do you mean i´m off pitch (ironic), well i agree, this is my biggest problem. Ron: "Run To The Hills" is in the beginning of the chorus, i think i feel a slight difference on To"" - there i start to thin out i think, before that i just add more support. When i sing with a lighter mix, like when i was singing "painkiller" by Judas Priest, that was an easier task, not easy in that sense, but around the Tenor C in that kind of lighter mix it is more easy. G4´s and especially A4 are very difficult for me. I think the "Hills" in the first and third line in the chorus lies in A4 and that is, for me, the most difficult phrase to sing . Bruce´s tone sounds so chesty and belty and it´s a very difficult task to copy. I have seen the video where Ken Tamplin tries to imitate Bruce and i don´t want to be disrespectful but i don´t think it´s very close and there is a little too much head configuration there, i think Bruce has got more chest, though it still is a mix.
