  1. Sounds pretty good, Karl, you have a great tone. Your vocals is a little buried in the mix and hard to hear sometimes. Keep up the good work.
  2. Manolito, i listened to your queensryche clips and you have a great voice and a great range. It appears that you, like me, suffer a little from insufficient mixing skills, your higher notes appears a bit shrill. Maybe it could be fixed with a different equalizer setting? But great job overall!
  3. Very Manowar-ish, you have a tone very similair to Eric´s. Sounds great!
  4. Professional all the way through and definately my cup of tea. I will listen to this song many times.
  5. You need some more "meat" here, Keith, you need to add more weight and some more chest, bring up more chest, more support and more weight to your tone. It sounds a little falsetto-ish and quacky but you are definately making progress. I don´t know but if i compare this clip to your live performances i feel there is a big difference, in your live performances you are sounding more full and more chesty. Keep up the good work, Keith.
  6. This is one of my favourite Iron Maiden songs so i wanted to try it. As always all sorts of critique is welcome as long as it is constructive. Cheers!
  7. Sounds good Dj as always, the only complain i would have is that the vocals could be mixed better, the vocals can barely be heard sometimes.
  8. This was entertaining, Keith, you pulled off a great show. The sound quality is good, better than on many live records i have heard. Keep up the great work.
  9. This sounds awesome. You have a great voice and it is a good choice to mix it up, not only using one or the other when it comes to singing clean or raspy, it gets more interesting then. Could one buy this record, Jug?
  10. You sound great on both, Chavie, but i also prefer the second one because of its more beefy chorus. The first chorus is also good and it is not falsetto in the sense that the head voice is breathy more like it is more thin. You remind me a little of a singer named Toby Hitchcock - a great AOR singer most famous with a band called Pride Of Lions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vNm_Uf7R-c
  11. Sounds great Jonathan but just a tad more '"meat" to it and it will sound even better IMO and a more dopey/lower larynx would fix that but you are on the right path, a mixed voice with head dominant is the preference in the long run. I would guess that Jon Bon Jovi brings up alot of chest on this one, it sounds quite heavy but i could be wrong.
  12. Thanx for listening, Jonathan! Yeah, it is a bit of a struggle and i think you are absolutely right, My next project would be a Dio song that is for sure . Igor: I am pretty much a layman when it comes to mixing/vocal processing. In this song i have added delay and compression but i would like to learn more. Maybe you could give me some tips because i think your recordings sound awesome. I would appreciate that alot.
  13. By the way, i know some says that Halford sings this in falsetto/thin head voice with some grit making it sound fuller. Well, to me it sounds like a mix of head and chest.
  14. Thanx for listening, Igor and Thanos! Igor: I am not quite sure i know what u mean. Could you please elaborate that? Thanos: Well, i am not 100 % sure what i am doing. I think i use some kind of mix, but i can imagine that my chest configuration dominates. All i know is that it is very fatiguing.
  15. Thanx for listening, Thanos! Yes, if you referred to the A5´s they are not in my range, hahaha, so,yes, they are very strained, i should have let them out but it was kind of a prestige thing, hahha, i so wanted to be able to do them.
  16. Thanos, i really like your tone, we have a similair heavy, chesty head tone you and i. The problem with my voice when i add grit is that i tend to strain too much because i need alot of weight to be able to maintain the grit, and if i let go of it i tend to lose the grit. i think you have a similair problem. And, Thanos, i must point out that warming up is a great advantage at least it is for me. I usually warm up 30 minutes up to an hour in the morning and then my voice is much better in the afternoon or evening and i can sing very challenging songs much easier. If i don´t have much time due to work or something i usually practise/scream my guts out for an hour and then my voice is more ready the day after and i can start to sing almost immiediately that day. That helps for me at least.
  17. Great job, Thanos! I really like your thick sounding voice. My favourite song among these were "2 Minutes To Midnight". Like others have mentioned you need more pitch control, something that will come with time and practise and as i have understood it you have been away for awhile. Practise these songs every day and study the originals and you will see improvements occur rapidly. I have a big problem with recognizing pitch but after i have downloaded a piano software i have made some improvements.
  18. Amazing, Felipe, you are mastering this song. Very beautiful high notes.
  19. Another version i made yesterday the 22nd of august: Any critique are welcome
  20. Fantastic symphony x cover Fredrik, one cannot hear much difference between you and Russel. You could make a living as a singer if you'd wanted to.
  21. Jonathan, Jug and sange_and_yasha thanx for listening. Well, i have heard the song many times but didn´t have time to study it that much, i guess this was a sloppy work due to lack of time, just wanted to bring it out before the "Child In Time" thread was forgotten. Maybe i will try to correct the pitchiness on the verse, i´ll see.
  22. First i must say that this song is so great to practice. It contains so much, low range, high range, falsetto, full voice, vibrato, just to name a few things. I have never been able to sing a A5 note before other than a tiny, very weak and squeaky one in practice so that was a challenge for me. When i sing "Painkiller" there is an A5 but i fail every time i try to reach it. At first, in this song, i tried to sing/scream the A5 with a compressed tone but that didn´t work so i tried to nail it with a falsetto tone instead, falsetto with grit and, well, i could reach it but if it sounds good or not i would let you guys answer. I have changed a few things in my effort mainly in the chorus. The first falsetto part is sung with an "ah" instead of an "oh" and the second part of the chorus i sang with a very compressed tone. The end is totally improvised and a little bit crazy Ok, so, as usual, tell me what you think, critique good as bad are always welcome.
  23. There is a hit warning here, i feel it is that good. I reckon and hope your video will reach a big audience. Excellent Jonathan!
