  1. I didn´t like the Youtube clip very much, i found it disturbingly slow in pace so i recorded it again and now with the original music in the background, trying to remove Bruce´s vocals as much as possible. I made another few changes too. Please make comments and suggest what could be improved. Thanx in advance/ Ola https://www.box.com/s/opjn01zsdnapdi70l0cj
  2. Yes, that´s right, what i meant was your higher notes - your higher mixed voice.
  3. You did a great work, George, i liked it. I also hear some waving notes but nothing major. I think you put emotions into this song especially in the end i felt it. What i also feel is that this really isn´t your cup of tea, i don´t feel that your voice is best suited for this kind of music.
  4. Nice effort, Forest. Like others have said, you sing the upper notes in "Mickey Mouse" style (Falsetto).
  5. Igor, almost everything you do sound great IMO, also in this queen cover, i don´t think there are much to complain about regarding technique. We all have our preferences and to me you sound best when you sing mostly in your head voice.
  6. Thanx for your replies, Igor and Ron! Igor: Yeah, pitch is something i have always had a problem with, but at least i have tried to be consistent here, pitchy all the way, so i hope there are some kind of rhythm. Ron: I hope that is the case because the chorus where the parts i focused mostly. Someone else wants to chime in and make comments about this and other stuff?
  7. You have a very commercial sounding voice Keith, when i hear your middle range i get goose bumps. One day when you have all the piecies together and have your mix and head voice connected you will be a force to reckon with. Great job!
  8. Very powerful voice you´ve got there Felipe. Stunnishing! And this song gets better by each time i listen to it, nice craft Robert.
  9. Great, Ron! You made this song justice. U have a very pleasing voice when you sing in your lower range. Not that your higher range sounds bad but i prefer this.
  10. Ya, this is really Igor´s cup of tea. For me, Igor´s Helloween efforts are his best work. Absolutely great!
  11. Hi, there! Got some time off and tried to sing this Maiden song. I recorded it with a backing track i found on youtube. As always critique are much appreciated. Take care. https://www.box.com/s/bbmzocoszq7mj2ze2fwq
  12. Fantastic! Very beautiful and you had the exact same vibrato as Steven Tyler had at that time.
  13. Yes, that´s right. Ok, that version was written by Adam Adolph and i have found the instrumental version now. Thanx for listening MDEW.
  14. Hello, David and Igor, thanx for listening. David: Well, maybe i shouldn´t have put that backing track behind the vocals. I was listening to another version by Jussi Björling : I couldn´t find his version without vocals. am sure it´s pitchy anyway but i hope i am not an octave behind Jussi Björling :)
  15. Hi, i was practising the other night to sing a little opera, a christmas song, very convinient these days. It´s very fatiguing. I am sure there are lots of things to improve here. What should i focus on first? I was listening to Jussi Björling but couldn´t find the song without his vocals so the timing is way off. https://www.box.com/s/pvd4ob8ixp8782bd5ics with only vocals: https://www.box.com/s/spjj6di316vq5or4ft4p
  16. Hahahah, Ron, and i thought you were more of man than me, 6.5 feet tall and knows martial arts. But Anne is not singing entirely in head on the upper notes, it´s a mix right? A mix of chest and head. Thanx for listening, Keith.
  17. This is good quality, Keith, i am impressed. And, yes, there are AIC influences, and the guitar sound reminds me alot of a New York band called Helmet if you heard of them. A hybrid of Alice in Chains, Helmet and Geoff Tate on vocals. It could work to say the least. Maybe the song was a minute too long like it is now but i know you are not finished, it gets a little monotonous in the end.
  18. Hahahahah, you sang "highway to Dell"? It sounded very dirty and AC/DC, i was digging it alot. More like this Ron!
  19. Hello! This is one of my favourite ballads, it´s made by a band called W.E.T, they have only released one album but it´s a damn good record and soon they will release their second (in februari i think). Jeff Scott Soto sings the original, one of my favourite singer. Critique, good as bad are always welcome. https://www.box.com/s/x2n7oq6ga1sxtprhkycg And here is the original:
  20. Thanx for your answer, Ron. I think you are right. When it comes to belting, which i think is the mode i sing here i don´t think i can sing much higher. I don´t have a natural rasp, i have to support quite hard to get it and when i come to the higher notes i find it extremely difficult and usually end up in a scream mode. I love Heart and melodic rock, it is my favourite genre.
  21. Hello, Jens, i think your song as a whole is very impressive. The verses sound awesome. IMO the first phrase of the chorus sounds a little strained and shouty, at least on my stereo. Maybe it is a mixing thing like Keith says. Great job!
  22. Hello, Justin! Thanx for listening. Well, i feel like i have to use alot of support for those notes and it´s very tiring. I have tried to make it lighter and more easy but then it sounds falsettoish.
  23. Hi! The chorus in this song is a beast full of A4´s to C5´s. The hardest note for me to sing is the B4, my voice wants to go from the A4 up to the C5 and skip the B4. Is it because my second transition is there? Well, tell me what you think and give critique, bad or good, all kinds are welcome as long as it is constructive. Merry christmas! https://www.box.com/s/e76mxwy0rkbwnr5gotgr
  24. Wow, Jens, a very powerful and emotional voice you showed here. Perhaps it was a little too miscallenous IMO. But overall, i enjoyed it very much.
  25. Wow, really nice, Max. The first minute is very nice, a couple of pitchy spots but very nice and beautiful voice. The part i didn´t like so much is between 1:18-1.40 - that part sounds a little shouty and pushy to me. The long "home" after about 1 minute is Soooooooo beautful. Keep working on it and you will nail it in no time.
