  1. Sounds great, Keith, i really enjoyed it especially "Come Back To Me" and "Fighting For Air", "Fighting For Air" is a really good song. The only disclaimer i have is when it comes to some rhythm guitar parts in the song "Inside My Head". For example around 0:48 it sounds like the rhythm guitar is a little off pace. But otherwise i enjoyed the song and your voice sounds better than ever, man! Keep it up!
  2. Great voice, Bernie, i really enjoyed this, nothing to complain about except for the mix and sound quality that could be a little more bright/clear but your vocals sounds great.
  3. Sounds good, George. I´m a little curious, what exactly do you mean by big vowels?
  4. Very enjoyable, Ron, i would like to hear you do a Neil Young song one day.
  5. igor, your english pronunciation has improved alot the last year or two and is no longer something you notice and find disturbing if it ever was. Congratulations to your success, Igor, the music and your voice sounds great!
  6. Hi, George, thanx for listening. Yeah, you are right, my recording technique is not very good, i am a layman at this and so far haven´t found satisfying results but it is also a matter of bad source, with a bad source it doesn´t matter how good you are at recording technique. Cool that your band played this song, it must have been a huge adrenalin kick to play this song live.
  7. Thanx for listening, Geno! Yes, it´s easy to carry too much chest in a song like this when you add alot of support and grit.
  8. Really good song, your band´s Helmet sound with a touch of Queensryche vocals is cool. Your vocals are really good here, Keith.
  9. Thanx for listening, Ron! Yeah, "One" is a bit rough and maybe it should be a bit softer before the climax in the end but as you sad Ron this is the feeling i get from this song - aggression and bitterness.
  10. Russel Allen is a one hell of a singer, one of the few that sounds awesome in a rock ballad as well as in a fiery trash metal song. You made an excellent job on this fine Symphony X song.
  11. Off-pitch? I say (*auto edit*) off pitch, Just, kidding, thanx for listening Igor and i hope the new record is selling well, you deserve it.
  12. Hey, folks, wanted to share these Metallica covers with you. Fooling around a little with "Enter Sandman" . Constructive critique is always welcome. Thanx in advance.
  13. Ok, tried this song again, now with more of a pharyngeal voice and grit. I also try a different approach to my mixing, among else i totally skipped the compression feature and lowered the delay effect. So, what do you guys think?
  14. It is very good, Rhmetalvoxx you have come far. What i think you need is to add a witches cackle/pharyngeal voice sound in your clip. Halford also bridges very late to get his sound i think, he brings up chest very far and around B4/C5 he adds the pharyngeal mode to his voice i think. By the way, in the beginning it is easier as in the video to experiment with the cackle voice in a falsetto mode (a breathy head tone) but note that Rob Halford doesn´t have a breathy head tone, he´s got a strong mix behind the "witches cackle" if that makes any sense. So if you doesn´t have a strong mix of head and chest you better develop that first. Try to experiment with this, i don´t know if this makes any sense. Or, you could watch this guy´s video, maybe that will help: PS: I am not a proffessional singer!
  15. This was very good, Geno, as usual. To be a little nitpicky, i think the belted notes in the end, especially "to-night" around 3:20 could sound better whether or not it is a mixing thing or a voice thing i think you know best yourself.
  16. Sounds great, Mdew! I get some Tom Petty vibe here.
  17. Squeaky or shrill, Ron. I certainly want some overtones a bit of chest in it but it is a thin line. I just need a tad more twang i think and i will get there. This rendetion doesn´t sound good at all overall. I think it also has to do with a bad mixing to it also but i will certainly make another version of it. By the way, i don´t want to copy Rob Halford´s voice by 100 %, that is impossible, there is only one Rob as u usually says Ron, but i do want to capture that kind of tone. Thanx for being so helpful, Ron, as always. And a big thanx to Igor - Jugulator - who helped me with the trancription.
  18. Thanx for listening, Igor and Ron. As Igor said, Rob´s tone is a little brighter and i would like to achive that tone without being squeaky. Yeah, i would think that it was off pitch. I have listened more closely to Rob´s two verses in this song and here is what i hear: 1 verse: Hey listen don´t you let em get (C5) your (B4) mind (C5), Fill your brain with orders and that´s (C5) not (B4) right (A4), they´re playing at a game that draws you (C5) clo (E5) ser (C5), till your living in a world that´s ruled (B4) by (A4) fear (G4) 2 verse: Always takin baby out (B4) that´s (C5) ok (B4), What they´re giving maybe it´s (B4) out (C5) of phase with me (B4), Told you (B4) once (C5) youre never gonna (B4) win (C5) the race (B4), Same old (B4) no (C5) tomorrow kicked (B4) in (C5) the (B4) face (A4) we (G4) are (F4) Anyone wants to help me with this? Oh, here is Rob´s vocal track by the way:
  19. This sounded great but as Felippe said maybe just a tad too dopey, i do this too much myself.
  20. So, another Judas Priest song. One of my favourites - i love to sing/scream this song. I think i am on the verge of finding the right tone. I want to sing this song with the same tone as in the chorus and for example the phrase "The world is a manacle place" i am still too dopy sometimes in the verses i think. What do you guys think?
  21. Wow, Igor, very impressive (The Steelheart cover)!!!!
  22. Thanks for the feedback, Ron! Yeah, these are the sounds i am after, i love the heavyness in Dickinson and Halford's voices and can imitate them fairly well nowadays. Unfortunately, it's a very fatiguing way of singing and it is not surprising that none of them are able to sing those high-pitched songs consistently live, not even in their prime.
  23. Thanx, for listening, Karl! Yeah, staying on pitch has always been one of my biggest problems. I don´t play any other instrument but i sometimes use a digital piano here on my computer to distinguish pitch.
