  1. Great job! I've never heard the original so I do not have to compare it against another voice. I can imagine hearing this on the radio the way it is.
  2. :) Link works now. Sounds good Tommy. A little dark, but that's what night clubs are all about.
  3. Did you play the instruments yourself? I loved the feel of the song. Everything seemed like it belonged there.
  4. I think your voice sounds great. The music was fantastic. The only suggestion I have and it may be my own taste. Starting the verse with "she sits" and "Her" they are not very melodic words. How about " Sitting in the dark shadows among the curiosities" A raven sitting on her scull" Just my opininion. It does sound awesome. Gread job! :D
  5. If that was one of your worst I wish I sounded as bad as you! ;)
  6. Accent? :| I don't have an accent. :/ Thanks Ron.
  7. :| You sure that didn't hurt? Sounded pretty awesome. If I can get my Mother-in-law to go away for a few days I may give it a shot. I'll try that swingin cat technique that Ron keeps pushing. I have a cat. You can use it as a HOW NOT TO SING example.
  8. Thanks Tommy and Gina. I recorded that on a dictation recorder just to see if it would come together. Tommy, After I get the guitar a little smoother I will post the guitar track for you. Just don't show me up too bad. :P
  9. I am just learning this but I need to play it live in 2 days. Is there any hope? http://soundcloud.com/mdew/life-without-you
  10. Ye sir! That is the kind of thing you would expect from someone who teaches others how to do it. :D
  11. Absolutely loved it. Great bass line. Great feel. This is my favorite BeeGee's song. One of the first times I have heard any one do a cover of one of my favorite songs and I just don't care to find out weather it was like the original or not. Great job. :D
  12. The tone itself sounds great to me. The only suggestion I can give is think about the message while you are singing. It sounds like you are thinking about technique instead of the message of the song. To me this helps relax the cords and lets them vibrate more freely and do what they need to do. Your body has a way of expressing what you are thinking. You cannot make a song sound sad if you are smiling. And you cannot make a song sound happy if you are frowning. In a song like this think about the greatest love that you have experienced. It will come through in the singing.
  13. I'm about an hour from York Pa. on the border of Ma/Pa. From what I hear in the last 2 months you have made tremendous gains. You sound way more confident and the emotion and groove is really coming through. Keep up the good work.
  14. Great job Tommy. You look familier. Are you close to Pa/Md border?
  15. Sounds pretty good so far. I got confused on how to play it. :/ I can't read Russian script. but I figured it out. You sound great Jugulator. You always do. ;)
  16. Kind of like a deer in headlights Sometimes thats part of the fun of being an entertainer. Watching the crowds reaction when you pull something off the wall. I have been in clubs where some of the women would have started taking off pieces of clothing just to see if you would react. :D
  17. Keep on doing that thing you do OH so Well :D
  18. I only had time to listen to "The Letter". Not bad for the first time in making it your own. Might I suggest give another listen to The Box Tops version and combine the two. It may help you get the phrasing that you are looking for. I think you will have success in making this fit with your style. EDIT Just listened to "Leave you Hat ON" VERY GOOD :D
  19. You have a big, rich, deep voice that souds awesome. I am not a teacher. It seems to me that you may be trying to sing softer perhaps for effect. You may be singing a little too soft.
  20. Even though I don't speak Spanish I very much enjoyed this version. Sounded great to me.
