  1. Hi, Gneetap, thanx for listening! , I could hear my voice clearly so that is a little strange. It has some delay effect but i have cut back on it after my previous Judas Priest effort since it clearly was a disturbance there. Maybe it still is but i like some reverb, the voice sits better in the mix with it i think. I could post just the vocals here but it would still have the effects since i didn't save it without. I agree with you halfways regarding the voice sounded more like Axl: I think the voice became a little more gritty than expected (like Axl's) but i also think Axl has a brighter tone than i presented here. Yeah, unfortunately the sound is out of sync that is why i filled it with some pictures.
  2. Yeah, Pekka, your tone sounded better in this version. I also agree with Denis that some notes sound a little confined. Overall it sounded great. Good job, Pekka!
  3. Hi, continue to practise the Pharyngeal voice, this time in the style of Brian Johnson. Any thoughts are welcome.
  4. Hi, Denis, thanx for listening! Hehe, yeah, i don't know why the whole catalogue is being played.
  5. It's not a big thing, Ron. It depends on what goals you have. There is nothing majorly wrong with Felipe's english pronunciation, overall it is very good. I have an accent too and when an english friend of mine listened to my out-of-pitch squeezy sounded covers it was the only thing he mentioned: "You could work on your english accent". It's another thing if you are consistent with it and you want it to be a trademark of yours. I don't know what goals Felipe has, but it could be difficult to be hired in an english/american band if you don't sing english good. Felipe is a great singer with a great technique, this is IMO one small thing to improve to make a perfect show.
  6. Really powerful Iron Maiden cover, Igor! Your accent nowadays is barely noticeable.
  7. It sounds great as expected, Felipe! And as a big fan of this song i enjoyed it very much. Your vocal ability is nearly flawless. Perhaps a few native americans would react and hear your accent in some places.
  8. Thanx for listening Enander and Gsoul82! Enander: Great tip there concerning "ee"s"! I will try to think about that. Regarding the word "malfeasance" it just happened that i misinterpetred the pronounciation. I always try to sound as close as possible to the artist and the pronunciation the artist is using. I just mimick and hope it sounds good.
  9. Thanx for listening, Pekka! Yeah, i'll see if i can find a good backing track one day.
  10. Hi! Practising my Pharyngeal voice yesterday in this Halford song. Any thoughts? https://soundcloud.com/ola73/halford-practise-1
  11. Hi, Igor! All  very professional made as always. The song that made the most impression on me was the Maiden cover "Aces High".  In the chorus you made your own little twist that made it sound even better than the original IMO!
  12. So, it's going to be "Highway Star" by Deep Purple? A difficult task that's for sure. I'll see if i have  time to do this,  i have decided to try "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC as my next project. Good luck, guys!
  13. Great singing, Elvis! To me, your effort reminded more of Phil Anselmo than David Coverdale but both are fantastic singers so...Phil Anselmo can sing ballads  beautifully which he proves in the song Planet Caravan for example.
  14. Thanx, for listening, Enander and Pekka!  When i listen to my cover i can hear two different voices/modes. Especially when i listen to the  phrase  "Seeeeen - ti - nel" in the chorus it seems i approach the "Seeen" in two different ways: One way is "chestier" than the other, i guess if it was an E5 instead of D5 it would sound more uniform because i don't have any choice there (well i have but it would be too exhausting). Mostly, I approach it as "chesty" as i could because  I have noticed that since the previous phrase "tempt not the blade all fear the" is in an A4 (i think) and that, at least for me,  is very chesty both in sensation and how it sounds, i get a problem  if i back off too much. If the "Seee" sounds more heady then the whole  chorus  would sound a little strange with two different sounds. But sometimes i am too tired and back off to not crack. Well. I hope you understand what i mean. Any thoughts on this?  Also, it is about the mix. I used A LOT of delay/reverb and sometimes you could hear an echo from an earlier phrase into another which is a little irritating. I also use alot of  - compression - 8:1 i think and an equalizer where i cut anything below 300 hz. I also use a hi-pass filter. How would you mix a song like this?
  15. Ok, that's good to hear, Elvis! Thanx for listening. I am looking forward to hear your full version of "Dream On".
  16. Hi, JayFlorida, very nice! A little more support to get some grit and you would sound very Dickinson-ish. But maybe that is not what you are after. It works good as it is. Very good.
  17. Hi, Elvis! You have a nice rock voice. Like many others sad it would be interesting to hear the whole song, how you tackle the high notes. Keep on rocking!
  18. Ok, so, trying it again i was very focused on pitch. It´s a damn hard song and i am not 100 % successful but i think it is my best effort so far. Please, tell me what you think. Thanx in advance/ Ola
  19. I totally agree with Enander. I would also like to mention the nice harmonies you put into this song. Great work!
  20. Enander, you sound like a full pro. Great voice and a great sound production. If you had posted this in the 80's you'd have a greater success than today, unfortunately this kinda a music is a bit off the market nowadays.
  21. Thanx for listening, Bzean and Elvis Osmanovic! I´m glad to hear that my timbre sounds great. I will try and study the song more thoroughly and then we will see what comes out, Then if it is still off key  there is not much hope and i will sing just for myself, hehe.
  22. That is just awesome, Enander, i would really love to hear you sing the whole song!
