My Bridging - Please Review?
Elvis replied to Elvis's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Thanks for your time and i apologise about the title. Gonna be more mindful next time. I figured out this configuration just recently, less than a month. Its getting a bit stronger as time passes and i am slowly working my way into it currently. Also i will be buying 4 pillars in less than a week, im waiting my mother to use her debit card so i can buy pillars since my accounts are frozen, so no there are no onsets as i dont really know how to make an onset, and based on some youtube vids of yours i watched i didnt really get how to make them accept for the Q&R onset. What are my goals? My goals are to learn how to bridge and to make the notes stronger so i can use them practically in singing. I listen to rock/metal and would like to be able to sing higher with more power. I know this takes alot of practice and thats why im asking so many question cuz im excited about my proggress and am very passonate about singing. -
Yet another bridging thread from me. I apologise in advance but bear with me. I do this sort of stuff when im practising. Its very weak but i can get it seamlessly up and down without it sounding Like falsetto to me. Question is, is this what im doing here a correct way to bridge and should i keep doing it but modifying it morr to make it "more corecct" or am i blowing smoke and doing nothing bassically. Thanks in advance!!

Ed Sheeran - Thinking out loud - acapella
Elvis replied to ell132's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Im no expert but i think you were not changing keys...you had some flats, but the key was i think correct..i went back and forth to find the change but i think you were ok... It was a bit low in general..i think you lowered the pitch of the original...i personally would now even sing the lows..i would stay in the "chorus octave" all along... All in all you have a nice pleasent voice and i like it.. Im begginer myself and i cant tell you anything more than that... Btw i also covered this song today xD gonna upload it tomorrow For some reason i really like Ed Sheeran, even tough i listen to primarily rock/metal- 2 replies

Well im singing for a year now and i can divide my proggress in 2 stages. 1. Until 2 months ago i ONLY sang. No youtube no nothing. Huge proggress. So first advice is just SING. 2. 2 months ago i started watching youtube coaches and using this forum. During that time i improved almost as much as 10months of singing before. So general advice (this is what im doing andbit works for now). Sing, ask help on this forum, watch videos, and save money for a good vocal proggram

Please I need honest feedback about my singing
Elvis replied to DBK's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
your current singing abilities are even better than alot of the local bands singers ive heard (and i heard ALOT)... Depends what you are after. But what ronws said is probably your best bet. Vocal training programm like 4 pillars of singing or some other coupled with occasional skype lessons will do wonders. A skype lesson every 3 months or so just to see if you are working correctly should be enough -

Elvis replied to Jarom's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
If it was recorded properly and worked a bit on the execution it wouldbe awesome truly....i love the feel of the song, and the high part was preety great, lil unsecure tough, or at least it sounded like it to me. Overall i like it alot bro. -

Review (and critique) of singing
Elvis replied to ronws's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Im with bono...even tough a review might get to me hard i would still preffer to hear it no matter what it is...silence or the anticipation is killin me more because i self diagnose...for example if i post cover on here...i cant stop thinking about it for the next hour or 2 and keep checking frequently if anyone said anything... So for me its rather to be told im bad than to not say anything at all...but i think for myself that im a humble fella' and i really dont take any critique to heart but rather as a guidance and incentive for me to fix the problem -
Ed Sheeran - I See Fire "Cover"
Elvis replied to Elvis's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Croatian language has a strong wovels...for example wovel e is pronounced like in the word BABY..the sylable BE...its something that i cant control at all times...also this is when i was learning the song so its not the way i would sing it now.. Thhabks for kind words -
My fiancee took a video of me singing I See Fire 2-3 months ago and i just watched it again and it seemed ok to my ears.. Tell me what you think guys I would appreciatte a more elaborate response to my technique (or lack there of) Thanks!! https://app.box.com/s/vwrydnoe21uta8dpmkfxgmrgpbtqbllx Edit: i was just learning to play that song, so i was looking at my laptop for the lyrics and chords, my fiancee randomly started recording when i said to her im gonna try the whole song xD She also hums thruought the vid

Ok so i did this short piece here completely dry...no instrumental recorded on mobile phone.. Idk why but when i am recording i tend to sing badly...and when im not i nail some nice lick but bare with me.. I just want your opinion on my general Timbre and mainly if that "grit" that i add on some of the notes is ok.. https://app.box.com/s/64rk4987g8recvesjecqsmosmje2bzbe Thanks

Ron has an awesome point..since my favourite singer is Dio and my guitar idol is Mr.Pirate Bach i preffer the Dio version of Dream on... and the irony is that i LOVE high singing but i actually preffer when Dio goes deeper where Tyler do those Dreaaaammm ooonnn screams.. I like your voice and whether or not your voice suits the song is IMO irrelevant..what IS relevant is that i like how you sing and like the song performed in your timbre

Elvis replied to Elvis's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING

Ed Sheeran - Lego House Cover (2 versions)
Elvis replied to Elvis's topic in REVIEW YOUR SINGING - SHARE YOUR SINGING
Thanx bro much appreciated.. also Croatian is a slavic language that has strong accent and it sounds like Polish or Russian...Croatian ppl speaking english might sound like russian is speaking it but ive been learning english since i was 6 so i guess that kinda helped me... About that 'Dthree' thing i really dont know..it might be just me or even maybe just that i did it here and i ussually dont do that XD not sure really... Thanks again for kind words -
So i like Rock/Metal singers/music the most but i do appreciate a good song and i think Ed Sheeran is onw of the most "talented" pop singer from this newer generation. This is my "cover" of his song Lego House in 2 versions...1 is bit more like an original and the other one is tiny bit meatier Tell me what u think https://app.box.com/s/hjysar7mv2ukjscatcngt17lj6de44av - Softer/original-like version https://app.box.com/s/wj9trlo5c1zv4syp3ht85g1qmemrelyv - Tad bit harder/ the way i preffer to sing it Thanks <3 Edit: its not a whole song.. just a verse and a chorus
